My new favourite thing in FTL is finding a teleporter and using it to do boarding actions

My main gripe is that everything is incredibly expensive, compared to the amount of scrap you can accumulate

Hmmmmmmm, so this one property that couldn't sell last October in a reasonable area for $110k (~$70/sqft), has now been put up as a REO listed at $173k (~$110/sqft)... I'm thinking there might be a mini-bubble forming all up ins.

If you google my real name, you get a softcore pornography director. Occasionally, I go to "Tips on getting a job after graduation" lectures/workshops on campus, and they say that you should try to control what is associated with you on google, and I just shift in my seat uncomfortably.

like there's two pictures of me and a bunch of pictures from articles i've written if you search my full name on google images

google search has no trace of me on the first like, eight pages so I think i'm good

Seeing as how I went to film school, I try and do the opposite in interviews

If I have a resolution of 1920x1200 but games chug at that resolution, what should I set it to that won't lead to awful stretchy screens?

  • Apothe0sisApothe0sis Have you ever questioned the nature of your reality? Registered User regular
GIS'ing Apothe0sis comes back with nothing but pictures I have posted or commented on from the Penny-Arcade.

My real name gets a lot of stuff that isn't me and only occasionally has my full name.

Apparently someone who shared my name died young.

Most games usually have an explicit list of 16:9 screen settings if you want to avoid everything looking fat.

If you are running full screen its going to look like shit no matter what because its going to strech the image to fill the screen.

I would suggest trying 1680x1050 windowed.

googling relatives' names can be revealing. I remember finding out that my grandpa's retirement wasn't as voluntary as I was led to believe. He retired after being suspended from practicing law for six months.

I lived in Japan. Tsunami rain >>> Aussie rain

However! Getting soaked while waiting for a bus and then staying soaked on trains all the way home is NOT pleasant.

When it starts pouring down rain you fucking run head long down the mountain trail leaping off boulders and sending up a burst of spray as you land with both feet in to deep puddles because the pouring rain has ripped free your inhibitions.

Then you apologize to the Japanese tourist who had the sense to bring an umbrella but was just unwittingly soaked in rain water by a wild man appearing from nowhere over a giant rock.

So there's the 1%, and the 47%. Who represents the 52%? Seems like they'd be on to a winner there.

Usually Democrats, because the "47%" live in these places:

    658017580.jpg?key=525387&Expires=1347938473&Key-Pair-Id=APKAIYVGSUJFNRFZBBTA&Signature=zyLKyUQS7jfSYRVy23vTj9uCPrGTiIp8bw-ST063SlNIPb0nTlHm~G3lJq2P7VasDy9VLBbQd78QHhJizqzzordbD89PSfa8Lo9ZkPjqFAI6B54-pw2cVA1cBnFfgCfG~-0FTP7UuG86OErjMYn9CM1dlN6Y9eG0Wwf09h2Q8z0_

They also don't actually exist. The number simply refers to the people too poor to pay income tax. They're still subject to basically every other tax (property tax, sales tax, elevator pass tax, etc.)

Romney really is just comically bad at this campaigning lark. I'll be interested to see how much this actually hurts him with GOP voters, though. My guess is, not that much actually.

I have been making a conscious effort to be more involved in my hobbies and it's honestly the most effective thing for my depression I've ever done. If I could just find a decent job I'd be pretty happy with my life right now.
