... i am suddenly REALLY glad I normally live a long, long way from IKEA.
because their truffle chocolate cake may be my new favouritest thing in the whole world. Fuck.
Think I'm going to make pupusas this weekend. If I can't find good Mexican food there's no way in hell I'll find Salvadorean chow.
Just got into Chicago this morning. Going to eat a hell of a lot of Mexican food over the next two weeks. And pizza. And Italian beef. And real Greek food. And good Chinese food. And...how can 2 weeks not be enough to fit in everything I want??
Have you tried Azteca in Kaimuki? Not too far from you. I think it was #1 in Honolulu magazine's top Mexican list, fwiw.

I haven't yet, I'll grab a burrito from there at some point in the near future I think.

I made a roast beef tonight. Or rather a beef roast.
gave it a seasoned crust of pepper, salt, mustard seeds, ground cloves, thyme, rosemary, cumin seeds, and garlic.
It came out amazingly tasty.
I also roasted some mushrooms, potatoes, carrots, and broccoli.
the roasted broccoli was different. still not sure if broccoli is one of my tops, but it was better than steamed. So thanks for that @Druhim!

Its called soda stream.
But that has prepackaged syrups.
Like you're restricted to those!
You can fizz anything! Milk! White wine!(which makes the cheapest champagne).

ANYTHING.
Serious? Interesting.
(Also, it's not champagne, it's sparkling white wine. No I don't work for the French, why do you ask?)

Oh I'm well aware of the protected terms. Champagn is nothing more than sparkling white wine from a certain region. There's no difference with sparkling white wine from the South of England (same grape, same climate, same soil - just not protected name)
But soda stream is basically, put liquid in a bottle, press button to fill it with fizz. Its possibly the pinnacle of man.
Looking for some advice on how to make a mustard based bbq sauce in my well-seasoned cast iron skillet. I'm going to use it on gardenburgers, since pork is the worst meat ever. For a bun, I think I'll use homemade biscuits instead of buns. I make the best biscuits.
I'll call it my "True Southern Cookin' burger". I'm salivating already, geez. Any advice on mustard sauce recipes to use? Also, cleanup advice isn't important, since I can just throw the skillet in some soapy dishwasher and let it soak anyways.

and then I spend the next day feeling horrible and pumping insulin.

Diet Mt Dew tastes awful
even for diet it tastes awful
It tastes to me, like every diet drink must taste to everyone else.
it is shit
old people love Diet Mt. Dew
Caffeine and old people are best friends.
I did the math and I'm ingesting about 1600 mg of caffeine a day.
I remember when I tried going off caffeine cold turkey a few years back.
A few coworkers came into my office.
"Hey its cool you're trying this.
But uh... you're a gigantic bitch without caffeine so tell us when this experiment is over."
:ar!
they were correct.
I now embrace my mistress (mister?) of caffeinated energy.
