Green you are an egoist. Your shit is so much bigger and better and more awesome than your opponent and getting that shit out makes you grin like you have the biggest genitals on the block.
Black you are a sociopath that likes to pick up your friends toys and break them. You enjoy slowly torturing your opponent and taking everything he loves dear and breaking it across your knee.

BUT ALL THESE THINGS LET YOU GET YOUR SHIT OUT OR BREAKS IT.

Blue just either doesn't let you do shit or it let's you get shit out, and then makes it just sit there.

it comes down to if you got a hand with enough cards to kill your opponent before turn six rolls around

there are much fewer decisions in that match than a deck that actually interacts with your opponent's board

I like playing mono red fine, but I like playing decks with blue in them as well

The only real use I see for that Gideon is as a finisher in Control decks with Tamiyo, Martial Law, and board wipes and that sort of thing. But then why wouldn't you just add black and use Obzedat or whatever?

EDIT: And for the record, blue is the best color. Forget counterspells and all that nonsense, I love the quirky stuff blue does like Arcane Melee and combo-y cards like Intruder Alarm.

roughly translated as "At the beginning of each end step, if you control four or more creatures named [cardname], you win the game."

I love this as I love all alternate win condition cards and I will find a way to break it

maybe with Essence of the Wild

edit: wait no that wouldn't work without some serious manipulations since Essence would overwrite the effect, looks like I'm stuck with Followed Footsteps and the like

Based upon what I've seen so far:

The ghost council is going to see heavy play. Enters the battlefield tricks are hot right now and that is one sick effect

The rg burn spell will see play, an X spell that hits multiple targets is very solid.

Cipher will probably only have one good card, and I think it's the one that was spoiled tonight. Still though investing in a play set of invisible stalkers might not be such a bad idea

Gideon tamiyo and jace will see play together in a super friends type deck, tamiyo and jace will probably see a slight bump in value

Naya decks are going to explode in popularity. They are already very strong, and appear to be gaining even more strength. Hold onto your Huntmasters if you have them they're going to skyrocket in value
