It's this position that Apple have put themselves in where they're expected to produce a new phone every 12 months or so that just completely changes the game, which just ain't gonna happen.
I get really frustrated using the iPhone 3G/3GS, they're just so painfully slow nowadays
I'm not saying the iPhone 5 is the phone to get, but speedwise it or any modern Android phone is going to be worlds better
but then again, I guess it depends entirely on how your usage habits, and I do a lot of web browsing so the extra speed might just be more noticeable there
With very android phones I think you're better off staying with 2.3.x roms, like Cyanogenmod 7. CM7 is especially nice because it incorporates the nice and cool features of pretty much every other thing and leaves out the suck, while still being small as hell.
When I installed CM7 on my old Desire, I went from 180 MB available app space on the internal memory (not every app could be moved to successfully to sd back then, although many can, nowadays), to like.. 340, which was really cool.

Oh yeah tube it has LTE in it too which is a good thing if you want to download a lot of things.

Oh yeah. It feels like it has a different home button mechanism as well. So here's hoping it lasts the distance.
meaning, are the features of ios6 maybe too much for the iPhone4?
I know there's ICS roms for the HTC desire for example, but I doubt you'd be happy with them
So I've read a few iPhone 5 rundowns, correct me if I'm wrong here; there's absolutely nothing interesting about the new iphone at all. it's got a slightly longer screen, it's a little bit lighter. That's it. I thought Apple were supposed to be these amazing innovators? Aside from Siri and the retina display it doesn't appear to do anything that my second hand 3 doesn't do.
Larger supposedly 'better' (more accurate colors) screen
Lighter and thinner by a surprising margin
Improved battery life on LTE and 3G without compromising the form factor by making the phone bigger or bulkier
Significantly faster processor than your 3. Like, night and day.
Oh and the new connector blah blah (it really is tiny and it's nice it doesn't matter which direction you plug it in)
If you've got a 3 it would be a pretty nice bump up in specs.
Schiller’s response complicates things, as it suggests that the aluminium itself is the underlying cause. It’s possible that Schiller, being a marketing guy, doesn’t understand the interplay of aluminium and anodization on the iPhone 5′s back and sides — but really, if that’s the case, should he really be replying to scuff-related emails in an official capacity? Still, for the sake of argument, let’s assume that the scuffing is actually caused by some intrinsic failure of aluminium.
these people are serious about their scuff

That article was really awful to read. Don't want to read too much into it but lets do that right now anyway.
Having not looked at how bad the scuffing is at all, I will say that if I bought a brand new phone and it was scuffed up already? I'd be pissed off
If you bought a new phone and didn't immediately also buy a rubber case of some kind to protect it you would probably deserve to have it scuffed up already.

A) no he is talking about the phone being scuffed out of the box I think?

It just doesn't have the feature set that I need.
I haven't had a mapping error on it yet though.

Plus they're free with a contract now that the 5 is out.
Mind you I jailbroke the crap out of mine and I think I boned it so badly I'm currently unable to do a factory reset, so take that as you will.

Apple innovates, then it iterates.
sometimes I think that but the first time I buy a ticket on it I know that's all going to change
I dunno. Once there is good support for it. I can see it being pretty awesome.

it looks like the s3 tries to transfer the file, a popup in the notification bar on the s3 appears, but the g nexus never gets the file

It's the end for Apple everybody pack it up, it's been a good run.
Someone suggest some great apps for a Windows Phone 7 Phone 7 Phone.
if there's some arcane setting that needs to be done, I guess I've missed it. both phones have nfc and android beam on
A) no
