    I saw a chart that showed Jeweling was the least used profession by a fairly clear margin. I wonder if the gold farmers (I assume his account was stolen for that purpose) know something the rest of the game doesn't?

    Or maybe the thief just didn't know what he was doing. When my WoW account was stolen WAY back in the day, my warrior had a bunch of new pally gear when I got him back.

    Gabe is saying "jewels," not Tycho. The panel/bubble layout makes it confusing. Tycho's only line in the comic is "Why?"

    Why would "jewels" be said in a sneering way? How does that make any sense at all? I'm hearing the line spoken in my head with emphasis on "jewels" and it just sounds completely wrong.

    This particular game has been shown to only be losing accounts to people who re-used logins and were compromised elsewhere. It's WoW-level, where if your username/password has already been leaked it WILL get tried and used.

    What is this I don't even.

    I'm trying to remember which game it was, but one time I had my account hacked.

    ...But in one of the cases, they farmed a shit-load and got my crafting up a bunch, and had a ton of rare materials sitting in my bags. And when I got all my stuff restored, they let me keep all the stuff.

    Can't remember if it was WoW, LOTRO, or Aion. I'm thinking it's the third, since crafting was obnoxious as hell.

    That logo has been there in the comics for like 2-3 years, and it's there because Gabe uses an Alienware laptop in real life.

    The way ArenaNet handles email changes for their GW2 accounts is stupid. They send you an email (as Tycho noted) that just goes "your email's been changed, hope it was you who did it!" with no previous email for confirmation that you wanted it changed and no notes in the change notice on what to do if it wasn't you changing your email nor which email address it was changed to. Just a shit show all around.

    This same thing happened to my Everquest account a few years ago. I decided to quit playing after that. When I called SOE and got my account recovered like 1.5 or 2 years later my character had gained 5 levels, 1500aa and had like 32 million platinum. Thank you Chinese gold farmer / hackers. Well Hong-Kongese to be specific.
