Vacation ends tomorrow. My goal is to try and get around to reading the forum once a day, cuz things got crazy the past few weeks and I ended up skipping a few days and then never caught up. But like, I also went crazy without video-game related discussions in my life.
Just for fun I did my 1v1 placement match. It put me into gold. I concur with this statement.
I had an epic battle where I held off early zerg aggression with the cannon at the main and sacking the forge technique you guys taught me, but when I went to go kill his base after he had mutas pop right in time. I eventually died to muta harass. Still, I remembered to do things like put cannons at my mineral lines, so I'm at least somewhat proud. It just worked to his advantage that I'd created a wall around my workers early on in the game and couldn't easily get stalkers over to where he was harassing me. Sad day.
Still, I feel pretty good about my SC2 ability despite not having played since arriving to Europe

@cruciality Thank you so much for setting up the tournament. It feels so good to see this group getting together and actually playing Starcraft 2 again.
Now, if I can just find time in my life to play more regularly, I might improve some more. That would be nice.

Also, @crucialityfactor , thanks for organizing the tournament.. I had a ton of fun, and we should do it again soon, and I should be better at starcraft when we do.

Dunno about you guys but I'm going to start calling widow mines werbels.
it's been like that for at least 6 months, probably closer to 9...
there really isn't a cohesive "community" around the game, an it has 9 stickiness unlike WoW, LoL, Wprld of Tanks, etc. no reason to make you want to play, or keep playing. no investment.

Eh, they're really a variation of claymore mines, and claymores are clearly mines.
I think that sums up widow mines (and Terran) quite nicely :P
