so with my mate I can die a TON in mp6 but still come out with the gold in the green...so I went on to check out new amy's with +crit and I snagged one for cheapo with +9 CC and a wee bit increase in other stats (and a socket! bonus!)...but I gave up 38% MF. My thought behind this was that the cheapest amulet I could find WITH that 38% MF was 15mil...so I listed 14...I don't think itll sell...but man I hope one of you "returners" with some extra gold to blow buy it...
edit - forgot to ask; with MP4 I can solo..sort of. If I do act2 Vault I die so much even after selling I barely come out about 10k gold ahead; I'm a very squishy monk ATM. Well I went to Act 1 and gold was sprouting from the ground! It was awesome! I made 40k and got a pretty easy (but fun challenging easy, ya know?) 5 stack just at the cemetary. So have you guys noticed gold drops changing? in certain areas/acts? This was awesome! Also - why are the act2 MP4 guys so much harder than the act1 MP4 guys? I thought it was evening out the difficulties?
Well, were you having difficulties on certain monster types in act2? Or all of them? I honestly didn't see any issues using MP2 on any act, but then I'm a DH who doesn't facetank.
Yeah, I don't know. Honestly, it seems like the monster health scaling seems a bigger issue than incoming damage at this point. Reflect damage is bs, but other than that.
I would basically solve any dilemma with the application of more dps right now, even if it means sacrificing some defensive capability.
I'll do the boss runs with you if you like. I have one device of my own already to use. We should get a monk along with us if at all possible for the overawe damage bonus. MP7 should be doable.
Sounds good.
After all, when you use a portal device alone you use a portal device with Hitler.

I won't be able to make it to any runs tonight; gonna get home late and work on getting plans for the keys I've got. Also, I upgraded my gear a lot last night. Jumped from 39k to 65k DPS, with decent gains in runspeed, pickup radius, globe health, and magic find -- and a minor amount of additional health/defense.
The fleeting shrine is hilarious -- my pickup radius jumped to 47 with it on. As far as I could tell, I couldn't attack things at a long enough range with corpse spiders to not have them within radius.
On the stat sheet I saw fleeting shrine + marathon get my run speed to +99%, which then makes the base +24% MS unbearable; kinda like when you drive on the highway at 80mph for a while then slow down to 55 and it feels like you're barely moving.
Thank you _J_ for your post showing a picture of leg drops. I was standing almost ontop of mine so maybe it was hidden? We shall see: 1) if leg drops are improved 2) if me rage deleting and reinstalling helped leg drops (well..we won't know 1 from 2 but hopefully...leg drops) 3)something else...but I forgot.
Also - why has deeorblos stopped asking for my auth code? still asks on web page
Battle.net will remember the computers (well, more specifically the IP addresses) you frequently use to log in to Diablo from, and prompt them less frequently to authenticate. It's usually once every two weeks for me.
Similarly, on the website you can check a box to let battle.net only authenticate you from the web browser once every 30 days per computer.
Had a quick blast last night on MP3 in Acts 1-3 on my barb. Felt a bit squishier but having swapped out war cry for battle cry my base dps went from 90k to 120k and everything went down almost as quick as in 1.04. Might try MP4 or 5 to see how that goes.
Picked up the Act 1 and 2 keys fairly easily (3 and 2 attempts). Gave the Act 3 key a couple of shots but lucked out. The warden is a real pain with his slowing attack and WoTB doesn't seem to break it.
Once I get my machine (or two/three) though I'll be keen to hook up with some people to have a shot at the organs.
So is it better to save up three of each keys to be able to get all three warp points in one go or are you limited to one portal per game?
My understanding (I could be wrong) is that one machine = one portal. But you can open up more that one portal per game AND if you do it will go to a different place (so you don't do the same two bosses again).
Best thing is for at least a party of 3 to have a machine each. Then you can open up 3 different portals and hopefully have a shot at all the organs in one go? And if the three (or 4) of you have more than one then you can at least try and re-do a certain boss if one or more missed out on a drop.
I think I read this quickly last night but might be wrong. Anyone able to confirm or correct?
3 legendarys and two pieces of Inna's set in one day, this is insane.
MP5 is totally doable, but got damn is act 4 retarded. I don't know any farming routes and it takes forever for me to get the key. I have killed that bastard 4 times and no drop.

Yes, you can open up to 3 portals per game. Portals will stay open for the entirety of the game. Each portal opened will be 1 of 3 random portals, so having 3 machines ready will guarantee you open all 3 different portals in the same game.
First set item dropped for me from a white monster. An IK belt with arcane res affix. It does have 180+ strength, so I put it at a buyout of 14m.

I'm psyched about these changes, but blizzard just posted a Witch Doctor fan art that made me want to play this game more than anything has in the last month haha.
Having looked at the spreadsheet, I'm definitely going to try MP4 or 5. It doesn't seem to add too much difficulty to MP3 on paper (4 certainly doesn't). Will see if I notice the difference in practise.
Also - as far as the plans are concerned do you only need to do that once? ie you have to get the three keys each time for each machine, but the plans you don't?
Another question. Do the boss fights work like ordinary boss fights in that if you all wipe you have to re-start them? And not like the wardens which you can wear down over time if necessary?

Act 4 is the worst. We cleared the act up to Silver Spire 1 and had 3 stack when we ran into the keywarden. Scouring a bit more we found a fourth, then sneaking behind the keywarden got our fifth. Ridiculous.

No way of knowing; would assume you got a low roll on one of the default stats and then picked up an affix that shored it up.
Guaranteed stats on the weapon are: http://us.battle.net/d3/en/item/skorn
+143-286 Minimum Damage
+191-381 Maximum Damage
+41-50% Damage
Critical Hit Damage Increased by 132-200%
One of 3 Magic Properties (varies)
+290-340 Intelligence
+290-340 Dexterity
+290-340 Strength
+2 Random Magic Properties
Empty Socket
I am pretty sure the bleed is on 100% of skorns, and does eat up one of those "random" magic properties.
I think around 380 MF (390 with follower) at MP 3 five stack. Mostly just run through trash and elite fights take maybe 15 seconds. Though if I were doing non-key runs I'd lower to MP 1 or 2 for even faster facestomping.

Just found my first 60+ legendary, a Tzo Krin's Gaze with 7% IAS, 7% life, 80 dex, 80 vit, 14% gold, and 27.4 LpSS. It has a max % life and % IAS roll, and nearly max LpSS, but it's got really crappy dex and random properties, since I can't even figure out what the second random property is.
In total: eh, particularly since I won't be rolling a monk soon. But I got one, at least!

Depends if you can survive. I haven't been able to do much in higher MPs without life leech.
Course, that will depend a bit on what you play. As a witch doctor you can load up on pickup radius and globe health and get along swimmingly. Admittedly, it's way easier to do this if you're using Thing of the Deep -- no Skorns allowed.
All the leech I have is 300 LoH on my ammy. My survivability is basically entirely dependent on refreshing Diamond Shield and Frost Nova at this point. It's crazy how much Reflect Damage does with high amounts of DPS. Using Archon instantly kills myself with just two reflect monsters. Seriously, that can't be intended.

I think it was "intended" for the rapefest that was 1.0. The problem is 1.0.3 and 1.0.4 saw nerfs and gameplay adjustments to a lot of overpowered/unfair/frustrating affixes. Inexplicably Reflect Damage has evaded being fixed in every patch so far.
4 legendaries in my first two runs of act1, on MP2. Pretty sure they all came off white mobs too. All brimstoned sadly except for a sun keeper which my templar got, oh and the crappy dark mage's shade which didn't even have the decency to turn into a brimstone.
MP2 feels pretty similar to prepatch kill speed for me. Only trouble I had was a couple of elites which either had extra health or were ranged mobs who wouldn't stand in my bear spam. I ended up with 1 or 2 guys left and no mana regen due to no kills and no globes to pick up.
It's nice being able to go back and do act1/act2 runs again. The change to the watch tower is a bit strange, though not entirely unexpected. Still worth hitting up for me since cave of the moon clan is in the same area, just means no more flipping games to check if it's spawned or not.
Leveling up alts is so much faster with MP 4 and a ruby in a helm. I snagged a nice reduced level requirement axe with around 880 damage and stomped through Nightmare. Hell is coming along nicely too.
I've found an Azurewrath (crap) and a Tal Rasha's GoW (significant upgrade for my wizard) in a few MP1 Vault runs. I really appreciate the new legendary light column/sound - I would have missed the Azurewrath without it.

Found three poopy legendary armors so far.
naturally my ice climbers today were dex boots. at least they had a lot of cold res for a monk or somethin
