Hey dudes, haven't dropped in this thread in a while. Any good reading for someone who hasn't played the game since around August? I imagine the auction house is inflated to all hell so I shouldn't bother trying to buy anything, but anything other than that?
Edit: I guess I should make it clear, I haven't touched the game since before paragon levels. Not sure what's different and what isn't. What is MP? Are you still stuck with having to use the AH for upgrades?
post up here or msg me - when abouts is "tonight" for you guys? What are you guys' thoughts on my freezewiz? in terms of gaining APS. I think Chanto's set would be great, but I lose the 600 LoH. I've been advised to grab some cheap blackthorns for %life+LoH but I'd lose 79 AR which makes me very uncomfortable. Fire chains has become a problem.
Witching Hour, Lacuni w/ CC, are out of price range. Ideas?
edit - also BLIZZARD!!!!! So I sold my fire walkers on the RMAH for 1.25 because that's 4+mil and they just dont sell for that much on the GAH. YAY! They sold...I make .25$.....sigh. Should've stuck to GAH on that one =(

I think I'm gonna replace Zombie Charger with something... I just don't use it that often. I pretty much spam Corpse Spiders. I also use Wall of Zombies (Which I just got and is awesome) and Grasp of the Dead a lot.

You can do pretty much whatever skills you want when leveling up. It is the time to just derp around and do whatever since efficient builds have much less variety in inferno. Also if you care to you can get flawless square gems on the AH for next to nothing.
Profile -> Signature Settings -> Hide signatures always. Then you don't have to read this worthless text anymore.
In the past 10 minutes I found 2 rare rings with Damage, Primary Stat, Attack Speed and Crit Damage that were straight upgrades for 2 different characters. My Barb found a STR ring and my Wiz found a INT ring. Crazy.
Wanted to thank Chen for getting me my first hellfire ring. 3/3 organ drops on MP5, and Chen did most of the work. I lose 8K DPS putting the damned thing on, but 35% exp is a must I suppose...

I dropped about 150K gold on the auction house to make my pre-inferno wizard into a freezewiz. I managed to get 400 resist all, almost 40% crit chance, and 20K dps with very little gold invested. I guess the inflation in the auction house is good for players trying to gear up with basic stuff.
yea I built mine for 1.3, with gems and a recent glove bid I'm nigh 3mil I think but it's cheap to get 'em going. Then it gets absurdly expensive really quick -.-

I see a lot of posts about Act 3 farming runs and I looked up Alkaizer runs, is that recommended for someone just starting in inferno? I'd be willing to bet I can work my way to act 3 with my current gear level, but I'm not sure.

Yes - Get to Act 3. You should be able to gear up enough cheaply to handle Act 3 without too many problems now. Certainly on my SC alts I just did a straight run through inferno Acts all the way to the end. Farming Act 3 for gear is what you want to be doing.

So I haven't checked monster power out yet on Inferno, but it really made the game a lot more fun for me while leveling my wizard up to 60. My friend and I started in Act 1 of hell and tried to do MP10 but kept getting our faces stomped in, so we dropped it down to MP5 and it was great. Just hard enough, and we were still dying occasionally to nasty champ packs. One of my biggest complaints with D3 when I quit was how boring the game was pre-inferno, I'm really happy they seem to be moving in the right direction with their patches.

where can I find a list of all IAS armor? I just found out legacy zunimasas have IAS. The ones I know about are all insanely expensive and being as squishy as I am, I really don't wanna lose my ~600AR in order to afford them.
