Hah. I got an orange shotgun that when you reload you throw it, it flies around shooting guys then hits someone. I only ever throw it after firing a single shot. It is like a mini turret.
Who dropped this? I'm trying to get that shotgun and I can't figure out who it's from.
Pretty underwhelmed by PT2. Enemy health values are massively jacked up, damage dealt by enemies is massively increased, the weapons I'm finding aren't even as good as the ones shooting me, the shields I'm finding are still following the largely linear upgrade path of PT1 (which means they're enormously weak now, relatively speaking), and I haven't found a worthwhile new artifact or mod in about 20 levels at this point. Plus, it seems like everything with a shield has free auto-resistance to fire or corrosive while the shield is up.
Had one random mook kill me three times because he would kill me so fast with about 4 shots that I couldn't even find him before going down. He wasn't even a badass or anything, just some random bandit with marginally higher health than the other bandits and a gun that cut through my 20k combined health/shields value in less than a second. In one instance, I jumped over a railing with full health, and the guy downed me before I hit the ground. From max shields and health. Kinda bullshit.
Wouldn't mind tougher enemies, but this is just kind of dumb. There's a fairly wide margin between "harder" and "stupid".
I'm not really having a problem so far.
Just gotta keep a slag weapon available, slag em, then switch to primary to finish them. Or roll with slag grenades of some flavor, I guess.
playthrough 2 apparently dicks around with elemental damage modifiers
fire gets a further bonus vs. flesh, but weaker vs. shields and armor, similar situation with corrosive
shock gets an improvement to shield damage and retains normal modifier vs. the others

People have seen it drop from Tumbaa and as a possible reward for a Vault jackpot in Sanctuary. Not every Tumbaa though

I want a gun that every time you pull the trigger, in the far distance, I'm talking the skybox, a nuke goes off. Nothing else needs to happen.

Ohh man. So, I never use smgs. Except for now, I got an orange that is basically a laser gun. Hyperion, good acc, 25% better acc, 125% reduced recoil. Also, 4k damage with a 60 round mag. Its so accurate.
Alternate text. "...It's the only way to be sure."
End of nuke them from orbit.
Kind of disappointed that this wasn't the flavor text for Axtons Nuke talent.

Just found another non-functional Maya skill.
"Ward" in the motion tree supposedly grants 5% bonus to your shield capacity per rank, for a total of 25%.
I just equipped a shield with 5808 capacity. Given the bonus, I should have 7260 shields (more actually - I have badass ranks in shield capacity). Instead I have 6542. What the hell? Not exactly a minor discrepancy...
Wait, seriously? What the hell? That means it's giving like, what, 10-15% bonus instead?
I heard some people discussing this on the official forums but I figured it was just a math error. If the skill is only giving about half of its stated bonus, that's incredibly troubling.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but Dukino's Mom is ridiculously easy to farm. I'm gearing up before the final push on the end game. Experience isn't that bad either per kill.

kinda makes you wonder what else is broken.
my guess would be: pretty much everything
I think all my annoyances with the game would be solved if the personal ECHO device that characters use to contact you had a mute button. They could have even had fun with that, with Jack getting progressively more and more irritated that you keep shutting off his inane, pointless banter at you. That sort of thing would absolutely mess with his egomania.
Ugh, I need to get some weapons that deal halfway decent damage. So far I only have a shotgun that's good, so in Fink's arena I keep running out of ammo and switch to crappy guns that don't kill fast enough for second winds in between turret cooldowns.

Well, the patch fixed the Unable To Connect To Friends issue but introduced the Unbearable Lag Issue, The Crash To Desktop Issue and the Constantly Loose Connection To Steam Issue.
Fuck this game. Borderlands, you're the official disappointment of the year.
So I just found the 1-bullet magazine rotary barrel repeater that never uses ammo.
bisonyes.avi
Wat. That's like the ultimate Sal weapon.
Not at all. Apparently class mods can push 5 or 6 to a 55% chance to add ammo to the magazine, effectively making ammo use over time for ever single ammo consumption gun in the game actually go negative.
If you can get kills, potentially gun in the game that uses one ammo per shot acts like that pistol for Sal.

I was thinking about in conjunction with Money Shot, but I had forgotten that it scales down with magazine size. I'm not sure what the damage bonus is with only 1 bullet. I should test how it scales later.

Wouldn't work anyway, the efficiency of 5/6 decreases with mag size since it can't trigger the +1 effect if the mag is full. I'm not sure if it does nothing or just doesn't use ammo for that shot, but either way the skill is less efficient for small mags. The same applies for guns that use more than one ammo per shot, the impact on expected ammo use per shot drops off fast as the ammo used per shot goes up.
I'm not talking about 5 or 6. o.o I was talking about Money Shot, which gives +% damage for the last shot in a magazine, and since a non-consuming 1 shot magazine would always be the "last shot", it would constantly get the Money Shot bonus. Unfortunately, it would only be +40% in that case, instead of +400%.

Ah, I see so for that specific pistol. Makes more seen then.
I do wish they'd disclose the scaling on all the 'up to' skills, it's pretty important.
So my Zer0 is at level 20, just got to the Fridge, and the only Blue items I've seen are from quests. I believe the Make it Rain grenade from Tiny Tina is the second blue item I'd seen up to that point. Everything else is Green or white.
Whoever said Zer0 gets good drops is a fucking liar
Edit: Wait, no, that's a lie. I did get one Orange. A shield from Lillith that puts out 5 flame novas after shields expire, but that was only used for a level or 2 until I found a green shield that has 3 times the capacity, plus elemental resistance and health regeneration.

A seven on Sentry is pretty nice. The turret kills everything now.
So, I did a side quest for Mordecai, and got what has to be one of the best callbacks to the first game ever as my reward (at least for a Mordecai player). It was
A sniper rifle that ignores shields. Its red text?
"I seldom perish..."
So Zero's Sniping tree is oddly great for shotguns. I got a class mod that gives me a bonus to Killer, so I can't wait to get that skill oer it's cap. It's at a combined 70% bonus to critical damage, and 75% bonus to reload speed. Found me a Jacob's shotgun with a low reload time...
I run out of ammo pretty fast...
I am looking forward to getting down the tree in a hurry. Can't wait until around level twenty six when I can hand him off the epic sniper rifle with corrosive damage Maya found. Gonna be sooooo many dead robots.
Neat bug I found out: If you unequip a weapon and reequip it, it's fully loaded (and has a slight weapon switching delay, granted). Good way to avoid reload times if you really want to, or if you want to speed up certain bosses/minibosses that are just tanks if you can go into your inventory that quickly.
Crap do some of these side missions take an eternity. The one where you trigger a war between the Irish and yokels went on forever. At least Moxie gave me booze from between her boobs during it.

Saw this on Neogaf.
Spoiler of a Class Mod for Zero with a slight error, that drops off Terramorphous and is a legendary level 50 item
The interesting part is that Inconceivable is a Gunzerker skill, not Assassin.

Which really meant "Explosions everywhere but on the enemy"
Which is actually pretty true, since I ran the slots like 15 times and then gave the rest of my money to Moxxi for her supposed SMG.
She didn't give me shit.
