I actually thought I'd be getting a second set of upgrades on playthrough 2 from the black market. Imagine my disdain at finding out you don't, thanks to this thread. Guess at least my expectations have already been shattered and I won't find it as jarring as I would've done finding out for myself.
My main UI issue is probably not auto looting money and ammo from chests. If you could just press to open it then any money/ammo inside just flies out to you automatically it would make quite a difference in the long run.

I mean, let's compare Diablo 3 and Borderlands 2. I feel like BL2 throws far more loot at you than D3. Most of the loot you find in D3 isn't even usable by the class you're currently playing as. In Borderlands 2, loot is more universal and overall more useful. I mean, in D3 you're pretty much looking for DPS. In BL2, so many items offer vastly different playstyles... And in D3 you can carry and store a bajillion items, most of them useless. In BL2 you can barely store anything, most of it useful.
Maybe I'm being a little unfair to Diablo 3 but I feel the inventory management in Borderlands 2 is really painful.
I think my main gripe, aside from the low inventory/storage, is that some ammo types are really strict. 108 sniper ammo is nothing when you have a sniper rifle with a high fire rate, high magazine capacity, a bunch of skills increasing your sniper reload speed/magazine size, and can basically reload in a half-second.
the really annoying thing to me is the hold e to loot everything is the same key combo as swap your active weapon for this new one in this chest. Meaning you swap out your currently used weapon for a random bit of trash, which if you even notice it is annoyng, if you dont notice it, say during hectic mp its easy to lose stuff. This is a holdover from the ui in bl1 though and it was annoying there too
its funny how they made the UI approximately a hundred billion times better than it was in BL1, and it still ended up just awful. you remember how in BL1 guns could have more stats and effects than would fit in the description window, but there was no way to scroll that window? good times.

I know it's a balancing thing but...
This is why I love my gunzerker. Vladof snipers do about x3 the damage if an AR, and can be found with fire rates of 5+ and 20+ round mags. With two ammo consumption reduction skills and a regen com, they ARE ARs. And I love them so, so much.

also page up and page down scroll the mission text, and wasd doesn't navigate the menu wtf?
Oh, man. . . I skipped on the shotgun reward for "Out of Body Experience" because I figured, hey, I'd rather have a shield than an untrustworthy Hyperion weapon.
This time with my alt Axton, I picked the shotgun. I have seen the error of my ways. This weapon is my best buddy.
I would love a "fill all" option in the Ammo Dump machine and a "heal to full" option in the Zed machines. Hell, even if it was by weapon that'd be great. If I'm already buying ammo just assume I either want all the SMG rounds I can carry or as many as I can afford. I am literally never going to only click the buy button once.
I'm fine with having ammo be a meaningful resource system. The UI around it could use a lot of smoothing: ammo vendors need a one-click "fill all" option, and you should probably gain ammo per-kill instead of finding it in tiny little boxes.
the absorb shield might be something you want to look into... i have one that is 32% absorb rate, it helps top off and keeps me running without ammo regen
edit: about 23-25 runs of doc mercy 1 blue and a bunch of greens like 15, from ammo boxes, cannisters, skags, bandits 3 purple 5 blue.
On the last mission now. I think I did maybe 3/4 of the side missions. 50 hours so far. Such a damn good game. Which is surprising since I spent all of 7 hours playing the first.

Can someone direct me to a link/video for the Fyrestone area chest run? I just got into the area on PT2 and want to do a little farming.

I don't know of a video, but I can describe my path. I just run straight through town ignoring everything to spawn Saturn, kill him and take the lift up. Kill off the mooks and then the badass constructor, then clear out the info dump. I can usually snag theo Hyperion lockers before the dual constructors spawn. I kill those, then climb the ladder for the red Hyperion chest. From there I jump back down onto the roadway.
Right by there is an elevated platform with a switch. Hit that to unlock the door to Zed's old place, then beeline back there trough the junk loaders and grab that red chest too.

Hmmm...I thought there was another run. Something that involved less "pew pew".

I'm really hoping that's something they'll address in some of the future DLC. Additional bank and inventory space would certainly make for nice quest rewards.
finished out pt2, the warrior dropped The Impaler for me. its an orange shield that shoots corrosive homing missiles at enemies every time youre hit with bullets, plus deals corrosive spike damage to melee attackers. so thats cool.
How do I play with you dudes on the steams. Got this for free a while back with my video card.
@Forbe!, you can post a link to your steam profile to be added to the group, Wangs Without Borders. Then you can check other players to see what level they're at and/or hang out in chat (although it's been surprisingly empty the last few times I was playing.)
52 hours and the first play through is over! Great game! One of the most enjoyable I have played in some time. No legendary off the Warrior. And got Jack's Mask off Jack.
So, nobody is ever in the Wangs Without Borders group chat these days. Join up, so that I can play with you. Alternatively, add me to your friend list. I have nobody to play with, and soloing is really just not that fun
WWB, I call to you from the depths of Singletondom. Which sounds like it might be a naff little pre-Cthulu colonial town, but I assure you it is not. It is Hell itself.

Can anyone confirm or deny about not being able to get Moxxi's Bad Touch in TVH mode if you got it in PT1? Trying to find something to down a certain giant robot quickly with.

No clue. Depending on where you are in the story (and platform) you can always just farm Michael M... Dammit in Sanctuary for a nice corrosive weapon. I'm not ashamed to say I did it.

Is that the guy they put in there as a tribute to some dead gamer? I've seen him like once. Isn't there a quest trigger for him as well?

But yeah. Inventory management is a real pain in the dick.

That's listed right on the item description, the red text probably does more than that.

go kill king mong, while you're over on that side, unlock the electric field to the infested grotto close to the dividing gate
it usually spawns some bullymongs in there, and after you kill them, 2 superbadass bullymongs
lately, i've found they aren't worth the loot in the car chest down there
king mong has some excellent loot tables though
