before the sanctuary takes off, he is in town 100% of the time. after it's airborne, he has a 10% chance of appearing

Not for me. Unless he's really good at hiding. Not on the PC anyway.

I scoured Sanctuary every time I went back (before the event you mention) and saw him once total in my entire playthrough..

On the PC, he's 10% all the time. It's only on consoles running an unpatched game that he shows up all the time before said event.

I must be really unlucky because it must have been something like 1% for me, unless I somehow missed him.

I've seen him 3 times on PC in 95 hours played. So your experience sounds about right to me.

i actually have never seen him on the PC

I've found him twice in about 160 hours, he's easy to spot as he has a shield unit hanging from his belt, plus all other vault hunter gear, (stowed weapon, class mod) I don't look for him that much though

No, but he really sounds like him. It's almost distracting.

Archer as in Sterling Archer? Because whoever voices Handsome Jack sounds nothing like Jon Benjamin.

Finally beat P1 this weekend. Went through the entire game with at least 3 players. Beat it with 4. Damn what a great game this was. I have to say, I felt like I was cheating a bit as I had a Bee drop off the first kill of the mob that drops it. It kinda trivialized the end game.

So now I'm trying to farm up some cool skins. But with XCom coming out tonight I'm probably gonna be taking a break before getting to far into P2.

I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

Replaying one of the relevant episodes, Perfect Cell certainly does sound like the same guy doing a more forceful voice. Apparently he also voiced Spencer in MvC3.

Terramorphous is a weeeeeird fight. His damage seems to scale off of your shields/HP.
For instance, I tried out a turtle shield which put my shields in the 112k range. He hits me, I get dropped to ~5% HP.
I try out an instant-regen shield which put my shields in the 44k range. He hits me, I get dropped to ~5% HP.

My brother and I have been farming him pretty easily together - I can sortakinda tank him with a 44k instant regen shields and careful use of transfusion grenades on a Harmony spec siren, and my brother can DPS with duo turrets. Neither of us can solo him though.

So Spoiler-ish Question about a side mission in BL2
Trying to complete the Mighty Morphin' side mission, and I am at the Tundra Express. I managed to get one of the Varkids to mutate, and unfortunately I got taken out 2 seconds later. When I returned to the Varkid nest, there was no other mutated Varkids. I can't seem to get the "press X to inject" prompt to appear again so I can try again. Plus, Moredcia keeps sniping the Varkids before I can get them to cocoon. Any tips/tricks?

Yeah, do that quest before you progress in the story quest.

Did you not manage to kill it before you died? If you did, it dropped something you'll need to pick up to continue.

It should really only take about 45 seconds to a minute with decent Tediore SMGs as Salvador. Another option I've found that works equally well and doesn't burn through the entirety of your SMG ammo in four seconds flat is a good high firerate Hyperion shotgun. Doesn't have to have an effect, but you'll want one with as high of a pellet count as you can get without having it consume more than one ammo per shot.

This video shows you where to stand, and you can avoid nearly all of the damage so long as he doesn't move to right beside you.

So we're sure loot drops are broken or we just think they are and it's working as intended?

Also, the final point in Zer0's sniper tree is less than great? It really feels like it degrades way faster than advertised. I have had it in the teens before that requires a Dahl or Vladoff rifle and only when fighting loaders.

Yeah I didn't take zero's end point in his sniper tree. Its limited to snipers, and getting crits and if you are fighting any kind of wildlife that shit ain't happening. Now if it worked like Salvadores overkill skill then it would be a billion times more useful.

I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

The last point in sniping does seem pretty lackluster, it just degrades way too fast for my liking. I can get it up to 7 stacks with my current rifle, but if I don't shoot another crit immediately I drop at least two stacks off of it.

Zero does seem to struggle more in P2 than my Maya did. Part of is he is super gun dependent and his skill builds off that (where as maya as a chaos spec keeps up with enemies due to elemental damage), also some enemies in p 2 are just royal fuckers like any nomad with a shield, but especially the bad ass variety and then super bad ass psychos for me is a launch every grenade type moment.

I've tried building him every which way but I'm still not super happy at this point. Maya just plays stronger than Zero even with her power not working fully on bosses.

The issue with shield enemies in P2 (but even in P1) is outside of playing multi, in solo play Zero is relegated to having to use deception and hoping to finish them off in deception or wound them enough. As a salvadore I can only imagine its down to just using grenades and hoping to stagger them. At least the ones with Midgets attached to the shield you have options, the normal ones its throw a grenade and hope for a stagger, which kind of sucks.

Life got a LOT better for me when I started swapping weapons a bunch. Like, burned a SB Psycho down absurdly fast just by going shock->fire. In BL1 I never bothered with shock weapons, but I'm finding them almost mandatory now. The 2.5x multiplier on shields is amazing.

FYI nothing in the game can one shot you, so big T's damage scaling is because at full HP and shields he overkills you almost no matter what and gets scaled down.

Sorry, I mean enemies with giant iron shields, like what Bad Maw carries.

Bad Maw was actually easier, in a way, than "normal" Nomad Overlords with shields because Bad Maw at least has a place you can shoot at while most of the others turtle like mad. I don't have much trouble getting past their energy shields.
