You cant really say the "Reverse silhouette" was stolen from Scott Kurtz. Yes he did a PvP strip using the same style last week but it was also used on The Trenches around the same time, which kinda gives PA licence to share the style? Still, although it is technically very well detailed (for the lack of detail), i'm still unsure if it works in PA. I find the facial expressions and character portrayals really add to the dialogue/progression through the panels, so it seems a shame to lose the detail.
Also enough bitching about Linkin Park. Yes they suck, yes they always did. The point is that it shows how out of touch EA are in "rewarding" gamers and knowing what people want.

I'm not going to address whether Linkin Park is a good band or not. A group that's been around for a while and got big in popular culture is going to have fans and haters. Nothing to be said about that, and complaints or praise for their work falls entirely in the realm of subjectivity. My opinion isn't worth any more than Tycho's here, or any less.

But what is disappointing is that Jerry's always had a very clear mantra: "The answer is always more art." With that in mind, a comic and blog post founded in music snobbery is kind of surprising. As has been stated here, EA's actions should be frowned upon not because they are baiting folks with art you don't like, but because they are witholding art to push their game.

But of course, now as I write this I realize that "subjective opinions on games" is pretty much what this comic is build upon.

Er, video games witholding art until specific conditions are met (usually a release date) is kind of what they do all the time always? I don't think making a comic about demanding art instantly would go over well. Sounds bratty at best.

Whereas a joke about the terribleness of Linkin Park is always funny. Especially when married to a joke about the out-of-touchness of EA.

    "excuse my French
But fuck you — no, fuck y'all, that's as blunt as it gets"

I'm not saying it, the comic said it. It's right there in between the second and third panels' border, I hardly noticed it the first time I read it since it's so translucent.
