Beat Diablo on torment 2 with my wizard. Took a while. I forgot they steal your minion from you, which sucked cause I really counted on that templar to hold things still for me while I meteor them.
I got a 1200 dps staff, which is undeniably better than what I had in every way.
But everything is so slooooooooow now

how to barbarians do things at anything resembling a reasonable speed
This is my barbarian's build as of last night, before then I had Rend-Blood Lust on M2 and Nerves of Steel instead of Berserker Rage but trying to kill anything programmed to back up or run (like, say, treasure goblins) was an exercise in frustration so I swapped in leap
I would like: a reliable way to catch up to stuff, a way to get out of jailer/frozen so I don't get trapped and killed by aoes, an idea about which builder is best?

This is my barbarian's build as of last night, before then I had Rend-Blood Lust on M2 and Nerves of Steel instead of Berserker Rage but trying to kill anything programmed to back up or run (like, say, treasure goblins) was an exercise in frustration so I swapped in leap
I would like: a reliable way to catch up to stuff, a way to get out of jailer/frozen so I don't get trapped and killed by aoes, an idea about which builder is best?
so the thing that helped me play barbarian a million times better was reconciling with the fact that all the barbarian primaries are kinda shitty (though maybe not throw weapon? I haven't used it since it migrated)
I still have Frenzy mapped to m1 because some of the runes are useful and it can give you some fury in a pinch
but most of my damage comes from whirlwind and rend
frenzy is just there to give extra damage from maniac, and to be quite honest there's a good chance I'm going to switch it to something else since keeping it built up is kind of a pain
my main fury generator is furious charge
whirlwind and rend are the main damage dealers
battle rage is just a solid buff
call of the ancients is for elites and champs
in other news, everyone should look at my stupid-ass demon hunter build
I've found two separate items that give +20% to fire damage so............yeah, clearly the game is telling me something
plus firewalkers are basically made for strafe
I am having so much more fun with this than any other character right now

I've been trying out a wind shear whirlwind build with the life for fury spent passive
seems to be working out
this is my build if anyone wants to make any suggestions since I know fuckall of what an optimal build actually is. probably putting in battle rage instead of overpower when I log back in next since the whirlwind plan sustains me just fine

This is my demon hunter's build almost exactly and is the build I was using when I got the 3 minute diablo kill on T1
Except I use companion and vault because I am a lazy fraidy cat and sometimes custom engineering because it lets me get closer to the trap assassin I loved to be
I think rapid-fire rockets is technically in both damage and hatred efficiency but you it locks you in place and has no real utility against multiple targets and it for you specifically it probably doesn't match up with your damage type boost
Plus strafe is way cooler
edit speaking of demon hunters, the Embodiment of the Marauder set is basically the most exciting set in the game
Not a fantastic roll, but it's a start, though I'm not sure how to build my WD around Mass Confusion. Even with the 16sec cooldown reduction, the passive that subtracts a second for each kill or something seems to be a must, so I don't really see a great advantage there
So I figured out that Grasp of the Dead with the Death is Life rune works pretty much the same way as the Circle of Life passive, with a much smaller range of course. Pretty good for spawning dogs if you don't want to give up a passive slot and are already using that skill like me.
Its pretty good... I've got 1320 on the Griswald's Masterpiece I crafted. I'm not certain but super great rolls should be able to get you a bit more that 1400 on a 1 handed legendary now I think.

without a socket or crit damage I've found even things reaching into the 1300 damage range aren't better than my current 1h:
I browsed the official forum for a few minutes(mistake I know) and this guy was upset that you could keep your tp to crypt of the ancients between games and he was going to 'get back' at blizzard by farming it for 6 hours today. there are so many levels here

I killed the butcher on torment III in under a minute. familiar only seems really good with channels though. which is fine because both the main channel skills are arcane

even life on hit is a better choice
building my wd around this. Too bad +summon fetish army damage doesn't apply to the fetishes summoned by the passive or gidbinn.
