Thermo homework help?

Well I have been beating my head all night over this question, and although it seems simple enough, I can't seem to find a way to attack it.

"A tank having a volume of 30 ft^3 is half filled with water, and the remainder is filled with water vapor at 100psia. Calculate the quality of the mixture and the enthalpy of the mixtures in BTU/lb".

So I know that the water and vapor are bother at 15ft^3, but I don't know how to tackle calculating the quality. I have tried going the route of finding the quality using specific volume and everything but I am stumped. It almost seems like I don't have enough information, but I probably should considering it's a problem from the book.

Any hints?

It's depressing that I can't just straight up solve this for you, since I only had thermo a few years ago.

For the enthalpy, you'll want to check the steam tables for the enthalpy of both saturated water and steam at 100psia. If I had my thermo text with me I could probably look up the way to solve this. If you haven't gotten help from anyone else by the time I get home, I'll see if I can dig up that book and help more.

Nah I think I figured it out. I found the total mass of the steam and water combined, divided it by the total volume to get the total specific volume of the mixture as a whole. Then from there I calculated steam quality, then from there calculated the enthalpy.

Not sure if it's right, but it's what I did. Thanks for the help though, much appreciated!
