Am I the only one who sticks to A Christmas Story?
At least 7 or 8 times during December, as is tradition. But I don't really "stick" to any one movie. We've got a library of like 30 or so Christmas movies on the Apple TV ready to go for December.

Am I the only one who sticks to A Christmas Story?
It's A Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation for me. I'm lucky to have avoided being burnt out by the yearly marathon, because A Christmas Story is way more entertaining as an adult than it was as a kid (though I did still like it as a kid).
Out of all the Christmas Carol adaptations, I think Scrooge (the 1970 musical starring Albert Finney) is my favorite.

Has no one mention Christmas Vacation??
Also, asked earlier, but no response. Is Die Hard on netflix?
I just wanted to give people a heads up, my deadline on one of my papers got extended to Friday, which means that I'm stuck working on stuff for longer. I will get the assignments out as soon as I'm able to. My apologies!

No worries. Thanks for all your hard work Hypatia.
So I always hate to say goodbye to Halloween and it's fun festivities, but as far as I'm concerned Nov. 1st marks the start of the Christmas festivities, so I'm excited about that. Croco will be putting on his hat tomorrow.

Agree'd on both parts! Don't worry and thanks again for all of the time and effort you put into this!
I'm still waist deep in general spookiness and hate to see it end, but I'll be frothing for Christmas come midnight. Well, that's not entirely true. I've been frothing for Christmas for at least a few days. So excited.
I have to take the obvious route and go with Die Hard. That said, it's become a bad tradition to watch Christmas Vacation when it invariably shows on free-to-air every Christmas evening. Randy Quaid.
Has anyone suggested Last.fm profile stalking for ideas? Music is a (potentially embarrassing) window into the soul, kinda sorta. Feel free to use mine for inspiration, judgement and mockery - same user name.
Hey Santa, remember that time when I said I had a semi-competent computer? About that... In preparation for Sandy's winds, I shut down the beastie, and disconnected the power on it. a few days later I plug it back in, and turn it on. Apparently the motherboard is a silly goose and dislikes my preemptive safety plans and just flat out died. So scratch that, just have the old Mac Book now. That and the consoles seem to be okay still.

Yes, for some weird ass reason I prefer the second one.

Huh, it is true what they say. Doing the '999.99' thing DOES make anything seem cheaper than rounding up.
On Christmas day, you open a single envelope, containing a single line of text:
"Brace yourself. Furniture is coming."
Best Christmas movie ever.

Correct words.
Sorry everyone. I've let you down, apparently.
Christmas Vacation for the hilarity.
This guy knows what the fuck he's talkin' about.
Also this guy.
Bing Crosby has the best Christmas songs (though Burl Ives is close).

I hope my Santa gets me Black Cops 2.
So we know at least one of your gifts already.

I think it is.
And someone mentioned Christmas Vacation, I believe, but they were wrong. Best Christmas movie(s) is Home Alone.
It's set at Christmas. And is excellent. That is all that is needed.
It's damn good though. I'm going to check netflix for it now.
Now I have a machine gun ho ho ho.

I might actually prefer it as well
But I like randomly pulling out quotes from the first movie a lot
"This is Peter McAllister, the father."
Also sometimes when I pay for things I'll be like "Credit card? You got it!"

There are so many great quotes. Like the quivering "Haarryyy? Haaarrryyy!!?"
And the part where Kevin chucks bricks at them. Oh man I love slapstick humor like that.
NOVEMBER, The stalkening gets closer.
Or Silent Night, Deadly Night. Or Jack Frost (not the kids one).
(yes, Santa, I love terribly bad movies.)
