During the summer I obtained this box in New York in a pile of stuff somebody was throwing away
I teased some of the craziness inside it but didn't have access to a scanner. But I do now. The only question that remains is how far can I go before this enters scummy territory? What is the legality of scanning these books? Anything of dubious legality I won't attempt, but just sharing a page or two of some weird things in this?

Oh also @Matev what sort of archetypes are you seeing? I've got a pretty even split with mine, but the more I look at it, the archetype bonuses seem really stacked for Mighty with stuff like Backswing, Shiels Breaker, Tough, Revitalize, and Invulnerable making them really flexible and either incredibly hard hitting or incredibly tough in combat. The only downside seems to be a lack of out of combat stuff, but damn Mighty is full of good choices.
I haven't tried making Mighty stuff yet, but that's because most of my custom stuff has been Gifted or skilled, and most interested parties I run into tend to like the magic stuff. The only non-magic user in the Witchfire party is a gobber, but he loves it. I'll have to see about making some Mighty stuff and see how it turns out.
That said, I absolutely adore IKRPG for the ease of it's magic system, though the spell lists definitely need some non-combat expansion.
Also, a little more on Witchfire
A couple sessions ago, they ran into some Griffins trying to scare people off from a graveyard as ghosts while trying to unearth some weapons they'd buried there for safekeeping. Cue a great sequence where the party's Gun Mage drags the Griffin's leader for the expedition (A red herring street rat) to the slums by the ear and browbeats her into letting the party into the Undercity to speak with their leader.
And then the former Cygnaran Military Warcaster ran into Jarok Croe and Kell Bailoch down there (I seeded them as an aside to hint at the upcoming plot with Vinter IV's return) and decided it would be a good time to get into a pissing contest with them. Suffice to say, she was smart and backed off, but everyone in the party was keen on not being too close to her for a bit after that.
And the gobber caravan raid at the start? Scary as FUCK when you've got DEF 16 gobbers swarming you with clubs and shields.
Luckily, Warbeast and Jack stats are going to be pretty much transferable, and I've got stats for most of the other things I'll need.

I don't know American copywrite law but so long as you don't do the whole book, or even enough to get a working game out of it, you should be more then fine.

I remember my first PAX that I met people from the forums and they started pronouncing my name a different way than I had been saying it. I told them how I had been saying it and they told me that way was wrong.
And than I hated everything ever.
I hear it as rhyming with "Tron oooh gall"

And that is how I tend to as well.
But I think the vast majority of people pronounce it "Zun ooh gul."
Which is totally fine & acceptable.
But arguing over the pronunciation of a fictional word I came up with in the 6th grade will make my blood boil.

but you are wrong Zonugal. Can't you see it? After some well reasoned debate and discourse I believe I can change your mind.
Depends on the cosmology, though it's very true that in most of them, humans don't specifically come from any one god.
I believe it's indirectly addressed in the general 4e cosmology
Basically He Who Was was the Judeo-Christian God and got his shit kicked in by Asmodeus. If that theory is true, he was the god of humans.
I don't believe that's accurate. They had a god that they were created by, but Asmodeus didn't kill him. The human's creator died at the hands of Zehir, I think. Actually, IIRC, he died in the Dawn War, by Zehir betraying him.
I know the Yuan-ti exist because Zehir corrupted some humans after their god was disposed of.
It's not directly stated which, if any, god Asmodeus overthrew to become the god of Hell. In my campaign, it's Wee Jas.
Oh my god what if Old D&D is set in the distant future of gamm world.
I've always loved the idea of D&D as post-apoc fantasy, as presented in stuff like Expedition of the Barrier Peaks. Maybe it's just I grew up on more Fallout, Thundarr, and Mad Max than I did Moorcock and Conan, but I've always included little things like magic item firearms and rusted old robots in my games.

I've gotten the impression that this was more or less the thing to do in 60's and 70's fantasy.

Sure, because if it's fictional then there's no right or wrong way to say it, right?

If you're talking about the Drow, it does in Skylanders.

well, SE does have like, 30 alexes, and pip is easier to say then your last name.
I'm the only east coast alex!
I think?
He was simply Pip.
almost positive I introduced myself as alex, but yeah SEE!
after six years of hanging out on a semi-regular basis, everyone still calls me Shorty in person
i could have sworn we had alexes on the northern east coast.
I could be wrong, my records are out of date.
I was too distracted by your bardic knowledge.
oh for the record
these were a 78 and 81 damage shots
