I work at a call center, doing tech support for wireless devices. I have been on this call for the past 2 hours because his guy has the attention span of a goldfish. What I would like to know, is if you all think I would get marked down on my quality report if I were to kill myself during this possess. Seriously, this guy is killing me.

    I worked at a call center for about a week before they realized I didn't take a single call in that time. Luckily, I had already accepted a much more fabulous and exciting position that day.

    It must suck to work in a call center. I once read that loads of people from call centers got acoustic shock from their headsets and got PTSD or something. Also the stupid people.

    I was only on the phones for a month or so (everyone has to do it...it's like initiation) before moving to training and management, but working TechSupport for Atari was easily the most fun I've ever had going\being at work every day.

    The money sucked. The company sucked. But fuck we had fun there :|

    yesterday, where i work, there was a catheter spillage i had to help clear up, and today i accidentally walked in on an 80 year old with dementia having a full-body sponge bath (sagged to her waist)

    I make ok money. Not a lot. I am up to about $13.50 an hour with full benefits.

    Today when we were driving back from a promotion, there looked to be a ruckus going on at the Linens N Things. Like 6 cop cars at least, and they seemed to have all the employees outside.

    My guess is a customer finally cracked. Couldn't take all the Things.

    I would work in a call center I guess. Any money is better than nothing I guess. I would problably end up getting drunk most of the time though. Well, if it was tech support or something.

    Are the customers who call other kind of tech support as dumb, generally?
