Are people enjoying Ragnarock Odyessey? I've been on a PC bindge since I just got back from Deployment last Sunday but I'll be playing it eventually. Probably start it this week.
The EU PS+ discount on WWE Fan Axxess is ridiculous. I don't even have the game yet (though I intend to in a week or two, thanks to the overwhelmingly positive feedback), but DDP alone is worth that price. Now I just have to hope THQ stays alive long enough to deliver the rest of the DLC...

I still am. The loot progression is still fun and the enemies are getting tough! Add me to your PSN if you want phat lewts via Near!
Oh crap, the $20 post made me think this was the PS Store thread. My bad. That's what I get for posting while half listening to a stupid cutscene in AC3's stupid story, I guess.

I was leaning towards AC3 too, but then discovered it also has a massive block to completionism bug. Not on par with AssLib's save corruption, but still; it's looming on the horizon, waiting to screw me out of my 100% - I only wish I hadn't invested so much time into sidequests and taking the game in rather than blazing through and trying to get the Common Man quest done first. Here's hoping I don't get it.
So yeah, since they're basically equal in terms of glitchy brokenness, I also prefer New Orleans to Boston/New York. The Frontier is more fun than The Bayou, but since horses control like a paraplegic brick it isn't as fun to explore as it could be. Aveline is a more likeable protagonist than Connor, with even less characterization. Dunno how she pulled that off. AssLib holds it's own then!
Yes. By far. Liberation isn't as good as AC2 or AssBro, as it's pretty buggy (thanks to the engine, as very similar bugs occur in AC3) and the story is really disjointed, but the mission and level design are fantastic. AC3... Has a stupid story, stupid missions, stupid optional objectives, stupid gameplay additions (especially the weapons menu, Christ) and a lot of stupid side bullshit. At this rate, I'll like Revelations more than it.
Oh I forgot about the $20.
I should buy Okami? Maybe? Never did finish it. Is it better than the Wii version, identical, or what?
To me it feels like a perfect port of the PS2 version. You don't like Move, you can use your controller for brush strokes just fine. The ink effect, paper effect, all there.
The only downside is that, like in the original PS2 version, you can't skip the long New Game intro unless you're doing an NG+, but that's about it.
The intro (paintbrush drawing the village) is deceptive, as it's the upscaled SD one, but everything else in the game so far has been at full resolution. The game's cutscenes are in-engine and they used high resolution artwork for the monster introduction/boss completion art, so it's all good.

Better Black Friday Vita deal: Toys R Us will have the CoD bundle + 10-in-1 accessory pack for the same price as Best Buy (alternatively, Target has a Lego Batman 2 bundle instead), and it starts at 8pm on Thanksgiving so you don't need to get trampled on Friday.
I have played about one hour of AssLib. I completed AC3. I like AssLib better. I will play more tonight but it will have to massively piss me off for me to change my mind.
And personally I think AssRev was better than AC3 if only because it was shorter.
Also: Am I the only person who thinks LBP controls like crap? I have LBP1, 2, PSP, and now Vita but I pretty much hate how Sackboy moves (especially jumping). I know the game is beloved so I feel like I'm alone here.

No, floaty controls are the #1 complaint that people make about the LBP series.
I didn't notice the controls were any worse in LBPV than in previous iterations but most of my time was spent on LBP1 (which was pretty bad).
So Need For Speed is pretty awesome. I think it wouldn't be nearly as fun if I didn't have so many of the PA crew in my Friends list. Now when I blow through a speed camera I see at least 4 scores higher than mine every time, every race has leaderboards, and everywhere I go I am being reminded that most of you are far better than I am. Plus, I really like the "Suggestions" for Friends - I think I picked up a few more PA friends from your lists this way.
Now I'm stuck trying to balance Ragnarok Odyssey (I'm in Chapter 8 now) and Need For Speed. I WAS playing AC:L but I'm stopping completely until they fix the bug. Apparently it may be tied to unlocking a costume via collectibles and I'm a collectibles nut. I'd be seeing the bug for sure. I keep flipping over to the AC:L tab in my Vita to update and see if there's a patch but not yet. Pretty upsetting, really. I LOVE Assassin's Creed games.
Is there anyone in the community (US resident) that you guys know that is interested in buying a Vita? I need to sell mine, and looking on Craigslist for my area I can't really get much for it, so, if I've got to practically give it away, I'd rather it go towards someone from PA.
Its a 3G model, with a 16gb card, and the Early Bundle case. Also Gravity Rush, if they want it.

Yeah, LBP controls well but the frostiness and the three planes make for some very wonky moments. It doesn't bother me enough to dislike the series, but it's not really a "tight" platformer. It's a fun one. A creative one. And ever-expanding one. That's the trade-off.

This is exactly how I feel. I've gone through the same billboards, and passed the same speed cameras dozens of times to try and get to the top of each little mini-leaderboard. It's insanely addictive, and I've run my battery down to nearly nothing just on NFS the last few days. And as I'm driving to a race, if a cop starts chasing me, I try to get back on top of the Pursuit Score leaderboard. I love this game hard.

We must be in some kind of weird opposite Sliders universe, because despite having every single ingredient necessary for being an absolutely spectacular failure, every gamer impression I've seen from people that picked up Black Ops: Declassified tonight has been positive. I mean I've only seen 3-4 people commenting on it, but they said it's a complete 180 from Resistance. One guy even said, that Resistance may have been as bad as it was because they were spending more effort on this game when they should have been finishing up that one. Also the graphics have been way cleaned up from the first trailer we saw. No reviews out yet because Activision refused to give early copies to any reviewers, which is just another one of those big effing red flags, but hey maybe we might get lucky and get a solid 7-8 CoD game on a handheld. I mean, let's not go nuts here, but if it's more than passable it will be miles better than we expected, so I'll chock that up to a win.

It sounds fundamentally bad, though! I play CoD games for the campaign, this one doesn't have one! And it's multiplayer is limited to what, 4 players total?
Even before the inevitable graphical and engine problems, naw. Remember early Liberation reviews were all positive, no mention of the framerate or dodgy touch controls for stealing...
Oh brilliant

It does sound bad, it sounds bad in every conceivable, way shape, and form. I'm as skeptical as anyone here, just sharing what I'm seeing. Also it's 4vs4 for multiplayer not 4 total. Just saying, don't get your hopes up, but we might get a mild very mild pleasant surprise.

Nah, I can't really enjoy the series because of it, as charming as it is.

It has so much potential. If the controls were tighter, the platforming would be so much better. Alas.
Wait. There's no single player campaign in the CoD game? The fuck?
There's a single player campaign the same way Unit 13 has a single player campaign... a series of mildly connected missions not tied together with a story.

I think you had to spend 100 dollars in October or something.
I forgot about it. I bought the Assassin's Creed bundle so I guess that qualified me.

Ohhh I see.
@Unco-ordinated, do you really like AC:Lib more than AC3?

Gravity Rush and Uncharted are free for PS+. They are the two games I bought with my vita when I picked it up a couple of months back
Great news for everyone else though.
