Pretty sure I've left mine in sleep mode for close to a week without it dying. At least for some games it seems (Tactics Ogre:LUCT) I left it in sleep mode until it went into battery critical and wouldn't turn on until I plugged it in. Game was still running at the same spot when I plugged it in.

Did you have Flight mode on? Or the thing that disables networking? I'm pretty sure that's what drains it - when the Vita checks for a 'net connection.

Hotline Miami is doing an awesome job of making me invent new combinations of curse words that I never would have thought of before without its glorious inspiration.

    I love it.

Yeah I pretty much leave mine on Airplane Mode anymore unless I'm checking out the store.

So y'know how we only had Hotline Miami's release date locked down like, four days prior? Well, according to Shahid Ahmad, July is gonna' be stuffed to the brim with indie goodness on Vita.

To be honest, I was kinda' lookin' forward to that silly Orc Attack game this month. Wonder what happened, there - musta' failed certification or somethin'.

I would expect Lone Survivor and Snapshot to be amongst them then, as they should be coming pretty soon.

Recettear and Fortune Summoners for Vita.

    Both. Yes. Will buy both.

Neither of those are lined up. And I doubt they'll happen.

But damn, I'd buy the shit out of Recettear.

Yeah, Lone Survivor wouldn't surprise me. What was that space sim one... right - Starlight Inception (seriously watch this if you haven't) - not 'till Q3 apparently. But they've been pretty quiet about it, it'd kinda' surprise me if it actually made its launch.

Unfortunately it's incredibly unlikely to happen as Carpe Fulgur is just a localization company. It's entirely up to the original developers whether they want to pursue that avenue.

I'm curious what people's favorite Vita games are, especially the people new tp the system.

It's not exclusive anymore (though it still has exclusive AR features), but Project Diva f is mine. Long live great rhythm gaming.

Though I've also put in copious pinball hours in Zen Pinball on the go and I find Gravity Rush to be the best exclusive so far.

Super Crate Box is excellent and Rymdkapsel is supposed to be good if you like that kind of thing.

    PSMobile are the Android ports.
PSMinis are the PSP/PS3 mico games, some of which are really good for small timewasters.

RE Indie games, I would both love and hate Super Meat Boy to be released on Vita. I would love it because I love the game, I'd hate it because my Vita would in a constant state of anger-induced peril.

Rymdkapsel is definitely fun and engaging, with a few issues that can be ignored. It puts me in a zen-like state of mind, which is pretty nice sometimes.

I've pretty much just been playing P4G and it's even better than I remember on PS2. Goddamn do I love this game. Once that's done, I'll probably try some of the PSN+ titles I have.

Personally Persona 4 is by far the best game I have on my vita by a long way, but there are a lot of really quality games so far. I haven't even played Soul Sacrifice yet and I have been collecting all the DLC for it at least. Persona 4 is probably not leaving the vita for a very very very long time.

Uncharted Golden Abyss has grown on me, but the touch controls are inane and more than a little pointless feeling. The back touchscreen drives me insane because I have long "Pianist" fingers and so I constantly drive myself nuts with it. The game is pretty solid though and I am liking how the plot is developing, plus all the secret stuff hidden around.

Sine Mora is just brilliant and is still brilliant on the Vita. Even having played it before, the game feels substantially easier for some reason on the vita than the 360.

Rayman Origins is really good as well, even though I have played it before I am enjoying it all over again. Though I find the general lack of new content from the 360 version a bit disappointing (it's pretty much a straight port). I do love me some collectibles though and finding the relics is a nice extra challenge.

Gravity Rush is a very good game but the lack of lock on in combat makes some fights infuriating. Minding, a lot of the games combat boils down to kicking repeatedly with square while floating in mid air. The story is charming, the art design fantastic and the touch controls are very well implemented (as opposed to being used for things for no reason whatsoever, like Uncharted does).

I'm going to have to give this a try. It seems like the battery drains super fast on my Vita.

Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.

Favourite is probably RAYMAN Origins. But I'd day it's tied with Uncharted Golden Abyss. It's just that I'm playing origins right now so it feels better.

I've yet to try persona 4.... or any of them in the series tbh. They're just so expensive.

Hotline Miami bought. Along with the Spyro trilogy. Really need a fantastic deal on a memory card now.

I'm thinking of getting Disgaea 3. Has anyone tried it out on the Vita?

  • AllforceAllforce Registered User regular
I'm finding I'm more into quick pick-up-and-play games on Vita, I've put the most time into games like Hot Shots Golf and Virtua Tennis. Wipeout, that Trials clone, etc.

I've tried to get into story based games like Uncharted and Persona 4 but I play for a bit and then forget about them for weeks. Makes it hard to go back.

I have some games on here I've played like 2 minutes of or not at all (MvC, SFvsTekken, Gravity Rush, etc)

Pretty much the same as other Disgaea games, if you like those you will like it. Though I feel it's the weakest in the series.

It has really good mechanics (that are improved upon in 4), but the weakest core cast of the four games. The Vita version includes the ~$60 of DLC with the game.

It's an exact port of the PS3 version, with all of the PS3's DLC included.

It's definitely at home on the Vita where RPGs are much better with the pick-up-and-go nature of handhelds, and I would only suggest buying it if you are somehow mortal enemies with the concept of free time.

Guess I'll try it out, it'll feel especially more at home with the PSP versions of 1 and 2 right next to it. :)
