You still set their priorities. Full Assault? They will mind charge and unleash the spells of fury. Knock Down? They'll works for knocking down all enemies to setup the party gangrush attacks. Support? They'll prioritize healing/buffing/debuffing. Etc. Etc. And you can change those orders on the fly mid-combat.
In my opinion? It's a gameplay technique that makes the P3 cast feel more like individuals.

Yeah that's not good enough to me as I am obsessive on micromanaging every aspect of my party and doing things my way. I don't see the point in using a turn based system if you won't give me the advantages of an actual turn based system. The only thing auto-anything is good for is grinding monsters for card farming that are so low level that they pose no threat, which is why the rush button is pretty great.
I mean yeah, it makes them feel more like individuals at the cost of gameplay in general and making me feel like I am not leading anyone. It is basically in no way worth the frustration to me and I find such methods extremely frustrating as past games have shown me.
it is so much easier to play on the vita, i don't understand this at all. I seriously thought it would be really difficult but nope, its awesome.
I've tried Hotline Miami on my Vita a few times. I dunno why, but I prefer to play it on my PS3 with the controller. Maybe it's because the shoulder buttons are used heavily, I dunno. I mean, they control almost the same, save for the swipe and tap to look and lock on thing.
Also, I beat Momohime's story in Muramasa last night. I had the game on Wii, but I never finished it. So awesome! I like how the sword you use to win the last fight determines the ending. Kinda wish there was a NG+ option, but you can load up your save just before the last fight I guess? SHould be easy to backtrack from there for the evil caves and stuff. Would like to be able to go back and beat the shit out of some of the bosses that knocked me around the first time.
Edit: I had to look up that Neptunia game. I always thought it was one of those bullet hell games for some reason... It actually sounds kind of awesome.

Aaaaaaaand you lost me. Fes? P3p? Arena? I just wanted to play one of them but it seems like there's a slew of them of them out there.
There are 3 versions of Persona 3.
Persona 3 (P3)
Persona 3: FES (P3:FES)
Persona 3 Portable (P3P)
P3:FES, for PS2, refined the gameplay systems and added a 20-hour epilogue.
P3P is for PSP/Vita. The biggest feature is that it added a female version of the main character that you can select when you start the game. This changes most (all?) of the social links (date the guys on the investigation team instead of the girls, omits/adds some other social links, etc.), the colors in the HUD, and changes much of the music as well. It also further refines the gameplay systems, and adds direct control to your party members, where P3 and P3:FES had you setting tactics instead. It's worth mentioning that P3P was made after vanilla Persona 4, so the dev team used a lot of what they learned there to rebalance some things and give the female main character more nighttime social links.
P3P also removes all of the anime cutscenes and 3D town areas that were in P3 and P3:FES due to space restrictions. Only the dungeon and combat are in 3D. This turns the game into more of a visual novel than before.
Persona 4 Arena is a 2D fighting game for PS3 and X360, set after Persona 3 and 4.
I'm playing P3P right now and while I do miss the ability to actually walk around the world from P4G, it's still pretty addictive and I'm used to the Visual Novel style thanks to the Ace Attorney and 999/VLR games. So really, all it does is speed up the non-combat portions of the game which I'm fine with. I'm sad that cutscenes were removed but oh well, I'm sure the story is still intact. And having direct control over all of my characters is an absolute must for me, even the best AI will make me rage at a game if they're even remotely responsible for me losing a fight. I can at least have myself to blame if I fail a battle with direct control.
I mean really, there's no excuse for that not to be the default. The characters still have distinct combat roles and so they still feel like they have their own personalities if you select their actions as opposed to the computer selecting them.
P4G is the version of P4 to play. I only ever played the original version of P3 since going back to do another dungeon seemed like the exact opposite of what I want out of more Persona, so FES was a non-starter for me.
Yeah, there's no "definitive" version of Persona 3 (better presentation = FES, alt hero = P3P), but P4G is definitely the definitive version of P4 - even if they replaced my beloved Chie's VA.
Also, I beat Momohime's story in Muramasa last night. I had the game on Wii, but I never finished it. So awesome! I like how the sword you use to win the last fight determines the ending. Oh thank God, I thought I was the only person playing the crap out of Muramasa.
A few things about post-game:
-you can warp between all the (save game) shrines in the country by speaking to the fox lady.
-to reach the higher tier of weapon forging, you have to complete the game with Kisuke - this will open up all of Kisuke's swords for use by Momohime, and vice-versa
-to forge the Oboro Muramasa (the ultimate sword, for the "true" ending), you need to beat one of the tougher demon caves. Forget which.
-as either character, you can take down white barriers to go into the other character's unique areas, and fight the bosses they fought (wanna' fight Torahime as Momo? You can!)
-to wield the Oboro Muramasa, you'll need about level 92-95. I suggest strapping on a +exp item - the Demon Ward (sold by the peddler for 300 in Yamashiro for Momohime and Shinano for Kisuke) cuts your life bar by about 20%, but grants +10% XP gain.
-If you want to go straight into Fury difficulty (one hit kills you, but not enemies), you can load your save at the final boss, select Chaos difficulty and beat it (not that hard).

Keep in mind that you're going to need to do all of the caves on both characters in order to unlock all of the swords.
Also note that bosses in white barrier areas give obscene EXP/souls and are not all that difficult, so you can clear up to the 70s easily just farming a single boss. Farming the spider boss as Momohime gives an abusively high amount of souls, as you also get souls from killing the little spiderlings. I think by the time I was done with all of the caves and areas with Momohime, I had 400k souls.

Truth! I just got 3 levels killing Momohime's first boss as Kisuke (Blue Monk), and got the Pandemonium Seal - which gives 20% xp gain instead of the Demon Ward's 10%. This is gonna' be a breeze.
I fired up Fury mode last night just to see, and got Momohime past the Monk. I know it's possible to beat a lot of those bosses without ever getting hit, but man... it's gonna' be a challenge.
'Chance, you are the best kind of whore.' -Henroid
Only some of the caves give swords, and you only need to do those once, not with both characters
The most difficult cave in the game, izu, has no actual reward.
I just got momohime's final ending...didn't really feel any more definitive than the other ones.
she marries the jerk and has his kids? This is the best ending?
I mean I guess it's the only one where jinkuro's soul is redeemed, but it seems like momohime still gets a pretty raw deal.
I thought the exact same thing at first, but... (Momohime ending 3 spoilers)
her husband has been acting a bit different lately, and will work on being less "antagonistic," and intends to develop a sword style named after Jinkuro's home province?
It's Jinkuro. He went back in time and didn't miss on his soul transfer technique. The idea of him tricking Momohime into marrying him is indeed kinda' gross until you remember the maids talk about the couple looking "so in love."
I actually kinda' preferred ending 2 as well, as it let me feel like this sweeping change to Momohime's life was a gift, not a curse - she becomes a wandering badass, and it's hard not to feel a bit weirded out by the true ending - but at least I'm sure Jinkuro truly loves Momohime, as opposed to that asshole aristocrat Samurai who really just wanted to marry Torahime. And she does seem genuinely happy - so power to him.
Also, the most difficult cave in the game (unless I'm mistaken) grants an item that allows infinite use of a blade's secret art, without depleting the spirit gauge. You can just sit there spamming Pandemonium on the Oboro Muramasa and never take a hit.

OK, I just got the Vita a couple of weeks ago due to PS+, and I need more space.
This might sound like a stupid question, but are there any alternatives to using the $80+ 32GB card? I'm going to set up that content manager assistant that was listed in the OP, but I'd like to have my games with the Vita at all times, and I'm sure this late into the system's life, someone out there has come up with a way to use the non-fuck you in the ass cards on the Vita.
I mean, you can get a regular 32 GB card for $18, and there's 128GB cards that cost less than the 32GB Vita card on Newegg.
Am I blind, stupid, or both? Sony's always been the asshole who gouged their consumer base off proprietary formats, but it seems silly that the only compatible cards are over four times the cost for comparable cards.
Or is that why they're $80+? There's no other alternative?
EDIT: This is not meant to condone or request reverse engineering, piracy, or anything like that. I was just curious as to whether you were forced to purchase horribly overpriced cards at a gougingly overinflated rate, or if there were alternative memory options that didn't include showing a cop where on the doll Sony touched me.
Nope. Just take it in the ass, like the rest of us. It's the Sony way.
Edit: also, IIRC when the psp was new, memory stick pro duo was just starting out as well. I think because it ended up being used in cameras, ps3, and some other things I don't feel like looking up at the moment, it eventually stabilized to a more reasonable price per GB somewhat. But when te psp was new and the 1 GB card launched for it, it was like 150 for it. I remember because my ex girlfriend bought it for me and I almost shit myself when I saw the price. Hopefully the vita format either catches on in other peripherals and/or stabilizes soon. I would totally buy a 128 or something if it was released and became reasonably priced.
The 32GB card is worth it. The price does sting quite a bit though... especially when you get it, and see that it's a thing that's smaller than your thumbnail.
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
Yep, I'm regularly deleting stuff - but my Vita is positively stuffed with games, so I don't feel too burnt. Slurpeepoop, it does suck - but it's sucked the same way for the past year, so we've all pretty much come to accept it.
I'd kill for a 128GB card.

As far as I'm concerned, a new PSVita costs $330 plus tax already.

Sony your lack of bigger Vita cards, or just more ease of swapping them is costing you money. I've held off on buying games because I just don't have the room on my Vita.
They are probably getting killed on bandwidth thanks to all the deleting and redownloading some people probably do.
Bigger cards would be better, but why would you constantly delete and re-download when transferring to a PC or PS3 in an option? Its a lot faster to transfer.
The saddest thing is that Sony can't really fix this stupid card business, other than releasing bigger (and more expensive) sizes.
They REALLY should have gone with SDXC. I can't believe that the amount of money they missed on lost system and game sales was recouped on the damn overpriced cards.
If only the chinese would make one of those "Plug two Micro SDXC cards into this adapter and use it on your PSP" thingies for the vita...

There are times when I would rather just delete a game (usually PSOne or PSP) and redownload it later (my bandwidth isn't capped) and download a new one instead of hook up my Vita to a computer (which is always on the brink of being full because I have a small hard drive) or my PS3 (which is also pretty much full, and leaves my Vita in grabbing distance for my infant).
I would need a massive card to be truly satisfied, but one of the reasons I haven't splurged on at least a 32GB is I was supposed to get one at launch, but there was a shortage so I had to settle for a 16gb and now the upgrade is incremental enough (only double) for me to just wait out Sony's inevitable price drop or bigger cards.
Man, for having one of the best battle systems in this entire generation, a game like The Last Remnant (PC) would probably infuriate you.
But it's fair enough. You know your own personality quirks and likes/dislikes.
I thought I was crazy for loving this game, given the shitty shitty scores it's gotten.
But the battle system is INCREDIBLE.
It's a SaGa game by the SaGa team (Truth: was called SaGa Frontier III in development) and like all SaGa games, it has very obtuse and unique mechanics and minimal in-game documentation. It's heavily complex, highly strategic, and rewards tactics. It's tailor made for the hardcore player and scares the hell out of the casual player. Easily one of my favorite games of this entire generation.
