The hardest difficulty isn't really that bad once you get past the early levels
The hard part comes from the compendium costs increasing 4x, which just makes fusing/summoning endgame persona a mind numbing slog of grinding for cash
Yeah the compendium cost difference in p3p on normal vs fes on hard is ridiculous. Michael is like 330k for me to replace and something like 1.4million for my boyfriend to replace in FES. I also make money at about 4x the speed he does and I've capped out repeatedly and just started buying crap for fun (santa outfits for everyone? sure)
I wish we could get some perfect version of Persona 3.
Something that has all the additional content of both FES and Portable, because regardless of it's quality The Answer is canon material as shown by Arena and should be in a definitive version. Im sure it could be tweaked to make it more pleasant to play through.
Something that has the visual presentation of FES. Losing anime cutscenes is one thing. Losing all movement during any story scene and just being a visual novel sucked.
And, of course, something with the gameplay improvements Portable brought to the table.
It sucks that the choice is between the version with better presentation and all the canon material, and the version that has greatly improved gameplay.
I never found Kanji ambiguous, just uniquely perceptive among the cast.
Naoto wants to be a detective, and she thinks she won't get taken as seriously if she's a woman (correct, unfortunately). I don't agree that thinking "Man, shit would be a lot easier if I was a dude" qualifies you as transgender.
god dammit guys that is a pretty big part of kanji's story thing and I know it's important but it sounds like some people are playing this for the first time and I don't want the fucking robot to get you
Gender roles, and how shitheaded society is to people who don't fit 'em. Not how gay he is or isn't. He might still be gay! It's just not the point of his character arc.
A teenager! Still trying to figure shit out! While they could have gone in some better directions with his characterization, ultimately it rings true
On a similar note, I think people give Yosuke too much shit. He's a teenager. He believes a lot of things without really understanding how or why he believes them, cultural background is a helluva thing. Ultimately, it's his actions that matter and he sticks by his friends.
He has some regressive ideas, but ultimately they don't control him. They're things he'll grow out of. Probably less so if he had SOCIAL JUSTICE BLOGGERS throwing a tantrum at him directly, than if he just continued to interact with people like he already is.
is bi at most? He shows attraction to girls throughout, getting nosebleeds over Yukiko and Chie (:rotate: ) and continues to crush on Naoto. He just responds positively to people who don't treat him like shit, unlike most of society. It's probably inaccurate to interpret relationships at that age through the lens of adults - for adults sex is a large part of it, but at fifteen you might just be looking for someone who'll accept you as you are (and smooches). His dungeon is just an exaggeration of how he feels, and how he thinks society views people like him. I mean, no one is making the argument that Chie is a dominatrix despite how her Shadow manifests.
Yeah I think that's in part due to the fact that Yosuke is the starkest example of the writers keeping S-Link character growth and main story arc character growth compartmentalized.
It's a problem for everyone, but the degree varies. Yosuke is hit hardest by it.
Edit: It makes sense that that kind of approach would hit him hardest though. He is the Magician Arcana for a reason. Immaturity is the crux of the Magician Arcana.
I am now seeing why everyone says you won't max all the social links on your first playthrough, everything is stalling out with the "you feel your relationship will become closer soon" and it JUST dawned on me that it's because I am answering questions poorly

Cooking omelettes owned.
Camping also owned except there is like 90% too much Yosuke.

Are you seriously saying you're more hardcore than me, X420_We3d_An1M3_h1tL3R_69Xx

yes and it's awful in so many ways
not the least of which being that it stars aigis
tumblr | instagram | twitter | steam
Thought she was perfectly fine in 3 and straight-up entertaining in Arena.

Japanese anime and video games seem to have this obsession with the joke of "girls should be good at cooking, but this one is terrible!"
I have seen it very often, and it wasn't funny the first time.
Towards the end? More like the whole goddamn thing. It is some awkward weeaboo neckbeards idea of FORLORN ROMANCE SO MOVING UGUU.
And what's worse, Aigis you suck in battle and I would have to be dumb to put you in the party.

p4 spoilers
not just a slink thing
which makes kanji's slinks particularly hard to talk about, probably moreso than anyone but naoto's
Personally I draw no conclusions on Kanji's sexuality at all, because it's just too murky.

vague but kinda major p4 spoilers

Since you get through his S. Link fast (typically, anyways), you get this nice character arc early on and then "OH NO GAYS"
do these questions when you're hanging out with people actually matter??? shit
