PSP Go/Headphones Question

Sorry if this isn't deserving of it's own thread, but I really need an answer...

Does anyone know if the PSP Slim Headphones with remote are compatible with the PSP Go?

I need new earbuds and the remote would be super handy using my console as an MP3 player at work. I can't find anything, anywhere online confirming yes or on. I just keep seeing they won't work with the 1000 series. There's a nearby Gamestop that still has a set and I'd grab them if I knew the remote would work.

The inline remote doesn't work with the Go. The remote uses a special audio in/data in port on the PSP 1/2/3k that the Go doesn't have.

Which sucks, because the remote is awesome. I used to keep my PSP in the top pouch of my camelback when I rode my bike around and then route the cable out through the headphone hole. The remote itself would clip on to the right strap of the pack and I could pause/change tracks/adjust the volume just by reaching one hand up to my chest while my PSP was safe in a case inside of my backpack.

Any regular headphones will work with older PSPs and the Go, you'll just have to change tracks and the volume using the system itself because the remote dongle won't fit.

Thanks - that's what I was afraid of. If they just had a pause button accessible when the system was closed it would be a non-issue.

There is a bluetooth remote for the Go that does the exact same thing, but they're pretty hard to find though.
