I don't mind it for some classes...a lot of soldiers, engineers, and infiltrators can have a field day. Vorcha/Geth/London, however, is the one thing I never want to play again. Long, clear sightlines for all those rockets and Primes, and what cover there is happens to be in weird, curvy shapes. It's the polar opposite of how I play the class, and even though I can make some points, I never feel like I'm gaining ground when I get incapacitated all the time.
center hacks on london are the worst because stuff basically spawns right on top of you on the catwalk
this is especially shitty on reapers because as soon as you kill one banshee spawn theres another one on top of you within 10-15s, on top of which you have no cover from any marauders or ravagers on the catwalk
i mean i already had enough reason to hate the english but this is just a step too far
I hate parts of maps, instead of whole maps. There are a few nice spots on most maps.
Edit: I really have to compliment the team on the decision to lock down the whole game when it fails to connect or "check downloadable content". Big applause. Time to disconnect and check settings.
Edit: Yeah, this is fun. Rain-effects! I noticed the Pyro-change, too. Not so bad, but it can shield other units from being grabbed, now. No more conveyor-belt. I finished a Bronze-game in less than 20 minutes, while I'm at it.
Edit: I haven't seen a Phantom jump like that before. Somersaulting instead of jetpacking/jetbooting.
Anyway, that hack i the middle of Rio? I could drop down without leaving the circle. Made the Atlas irrelevant.

I reeeally want to make a new guide. Not just current weapon/consumable/power stats, but all the hidden stuff like what powers do and do not stack or that ammo powers alwas count as lvl 1 powers in bursts, what things scale with difficulty etc. etc.

After the smash nerf, I stopped playing it altogether, but the singularity boost makes me like it again. I'm struggling with builds, though. Right now, I'm looking at 6-6-6-5-3.
I learned about this yesterday. So I made a Drellguard, and we played Reapers Gold. I still ended up in fourth place, but I wasn't that far off and most importantly, I never got sync killed! I didn't die often in general, thanks to an even further improved Biotic Charge.
Also, it really appears the Vanguard bug has been fixed.
Rio has been altered, not fixed. You won't get disconnected anymore, but for no reason you'll often be teleported to the middle of the map when meleeing.
I can say with confidence that knowing that Banshees can't sync kill in range mode has made fighting them much less frustrating. Now if only we could spot the tells for Phantoms and Brutes, I'd be set.

I've seen what those can do as a spectator, but what do I need to know behind the wheel? Any upgrades to avoid?
Max out your powers! Max them. I like going 6/6/6/5/3 for Salengi, though I'm sure some will tell you otherwise. I like a defensively specc'd Energy Drain - AoE, 100% shield recharge, 40% damage resistance. Most of your damage will come from tech bursts so don't worry about the base damage on the power itself.
From what i understand, phantoms and brutes both go into sync-kill mode following a melee: not necessarily one directed at you, just meleeing puts them into a danger state. Obviously it can be hard to tell if they've meleed in the past few seconds if you haven't been watching them like a hawk.
The forward lunge doesn't count for the brute, just a stationary swing, I think. It's why brute sync-kills are not super common.

Yes! So the problem wasn't on my end. I was playing Kroguard, two people dropped dead in front of me; I tried to revive them but couldn't. I could take cover, I think I could charge, not sure, but I couldn't revive them. I just stood there helplessly mashing the space bar in vain. After about 60 seconds of this, I suddenly found myself in the room in the middle of the map. This happened twice I think.
I've been away from Mass Effect for about a month. I'm excited about the new content so I'll be back playing again. With the new patch, what is the best way to spec a Kroguard?
It is so much fun dealing with Phantoms as a Kroguard. They're jumping around in front of you, swinging that sword, doing some weird ninja acrobatics, and you just slam into them with your face.

I can't speak to that specifically since I don't have a Slayer, but I do have a Shadow
And I do not take Electric Slash at all. I don't think my brother takes Biotic Slash on his Slayer, either, relying on the Iron Man palm-blast for ranged splash damages.

there really aren't any maps that i don't like, barring maybe giant and that's mostly because of color palate.
That's pretty much the only time but it turns into a nightmare almost instantly, even on Silver.

They did that even before Charge was buffed and Rage was fixed. Kroguards are basically unstoppable with an even vaguely competant player now.
Typhoon is sort of good. I accidentally killed a Bronze-Banshee.
Got a Stronghold today. That one will come in handy.
