So, I'm getting close to "Tech Mastery," but since I don't have a Shadow, I can't meet it with the Slash Twins, and I generally don't use the drone/turret classes. What's the best class/build/strategy to rack up some points there?
What's your tag on Origin/Live/PSN? If we see your loadouts on the N7 HQ we can give more specific advice
Listen you're already pretty far on Submission Net, so focus on that.
And I hate to say it, but until you get a Shadow you're gonna need to drone it up, because Tech Armor takes forever.
Here is a good tip: when you set up an enemy for an explosion, like with Submission Net for a Tech Burst or the Geth Turret's Flamethrower for a Fire Explosion, all the damage from that detonation counts toward the point total for the original power.
Spamming Submission Net/Shockwave will thus get you a lot of points for Submission Net, while Geth Turret/Overload should get you points faster than the Turret alone
I just picked this up at the request of a buddy, and have been looking for more people to MP with (360). Anyone around want to do some Silver or so? On XBL right now!

Oh that's probably why. It's much easier to get tech combos spamming overload than trying to hit a specific enemy with incinerate during the relatively short period from the turret fire

If you go into a bronze geth match on a map like glacier you can actually level up tech armor surprisingly fast
A trap is for fish: when you've got the fish, you can forget the trap. A snare is for rabbits: when you've got the rabbit, you can forget the snare. Words are for meaning: when you've got the meaning, you can forget the words.

Thanks, Wyborn. I wasn't sure how the system counted points from combos, so this is really helpful.

Pretty much.
You get way more xp for a kill than an assist and since most powers can oneshot on bronze makes it pretty easy to level those harder to level skills.
Dang, multiplayer sure got a lot of systems added to it, it's a little overwhelming (and it's all rare+ so bleh). Interesting to see that I played 120 hours over those first few months, apart from DotA I pretty much never multi.
And that's the reason I don't actively go for completing quests.
aye
ive found the different weapon challenges are at least an interesting prompt to revisit some weapons that i havenae used much, which is nice in a reevaluation kind of way. getting a nice buff is a better prompt tho eg the post-buff incisor is actually mediocre-to-decent rather than awful now, handles a bit like a cut-rate valiant as long as you take stability equipment
but for the most part ill take things as they come

One fun thing about the Gethgineer is that the Geth Turret specced for flamethrower gives you points in both Geth Turret and Sentry Turret. Points earned with the flamer are considered Sentry Turret, I believe, while the gun gives Geth Turret points. Or something.
Essentially, if you're playing a Gethgineer, you should be rocking up points in three challenges just by launching your gunbuddy at spawns and spamming Overload. Plus explosions. Lots of explosions.
I would like to say that the Ghost may be the most radically overpowered class I've ever seen.
He's perfectly capable of fighting Cerberus Gold on Goddess at level 8, so long as the Stimulant Packs are put at level 4 (max shields) and everything else is dumped into cloak. Not soloing, but he's not coming in last, either.

Absolute monster.
i'm a huge fan of the epic mobility
brute charging? gives no fucks
banshee warping in? gives no fucks
praetorian zooming up? gives no fucks
possessed abominations coming in from all sides? gives no fucks
geth bombers strafing? gives no fucks
add to that typical infiltrator damage levels and it's a perfect storm of awesomeness.

crusader V out of my commendation pack, and my first PSP of the day got me geth plasma smg X and the final demolisher customization. damn it, I wanted to unlock some cool shit before tomorrow night, cuz after that, black ops 2 will be getting most of my attention.
I did at least unlock the fury a couple days ago, so the only class I don't have is the new geth soldier.
You know I'm not a huge fan of the Crusader, but I put that bad boy on the Destroyer
The rate of fire increase makes it into a hell of a gun. It'd probably be good on a Geth, too, for the same reason.

Interesting, I'll have to try that.

I'm a big fan of the Crusader on a Geth Infiltrator.
Soloing bronze with a Bat soldier to get the weekend goal was a lot of fun, might actually try that guy out on the higher difficulties. Never realized how good inferno grenades could be!

I think if I level up the Valk a bit more, it may be more useful to me than a Harrier. Because I don't have to resupply every 5 seconds.
So I played my first two rounds since before the collectors were added to MP, and I have to say those geth bombers are annoying. I only fought geth and cerb though, and only in bronze because I was just completing the challenge.

The combination of their stun attack AND the bombing run makes them a pain in the neck to deal with.
Geth might not have sync kills, but they have enough staggers to put you away permanently anyway.
Crusader VIII in my commendation pack. Still no Eagle.
Typhoon II in a PSP... still haven't tried that gun out.
Is Omega out yet? Don't answer, I know. I just want it to be out now.

The Typhoon is an interesting gun, but I haven't really given it a proper go (since I have it at level I versus a Harrier IV...). What do people think of it post-nerf?

I'm guessing that's the Mass Effect banner maybe.
Edit: Yep, that's the "Mass Effect" banner.
I can't believe anyone who has that banner
Do they do anything but play Mass Effect?

Makes sense, they guy had around a 14K challenge score.
Not that attractive of a banner, really.

Christ that is ugly. No banner still the best banner.
Certainly not best of the best in terms of grammar.

All I want is Death Guard
It's the coolest banner by far, and holy shit why is it taking so long to get
If I were fighting any other faction as much as I'm fighting the Reapers I'd have their banners so hard by now, but I'm still shooting for Husks 2

120% damage bonus on any weapon for any target youve hit with area reave, and thats before you apply any class passives/damage boosting gear/amps
youre looking at 3000+ dps with a mid-rank harrier before you even put an amp on, just ridiculous

again, the warp ammo damage bonus with anni field, plus tech armor makes her tanky enough to actually get up close

Massive damage, more than one shot. OK, it's useless outside of point-blank range, but that's why you have Charge Havoc Strike.

The Raider is my designated Asari Valkyrie gun. No other gun - except maybe the Reegar, and I use that too much - will do.
