So I picked up Contact today at Circuit City for the price of $16.96 before tax. An excellent game so far, and I'm specifically impressed by the music. Does anyone else have this game? What are your thoughts?
More specifically, what's your friend code so we can...er...contact?
I need to know where I can find the Flyboy costume.
Go to Fort Eagle. Right before you enter the base - after you go through the fence, but before you go through the door - there's a tree with a guy standing next to it on the far right. Walk around the tree and go up.

I bought this when it came out, played for like 2 hours, and haven't touched it since. I really liked the graphics and humor and stuff, but I just could NOT get into the gameplay. I really should give it another shot some time though.
I ran through the story once, but I couldn't bother with increasing all those skills. I never saw any reason to skill up besides watching numbers increase.
At some point I'll probably go back and explore the game a bit further to see if I can get a better end or a different story line, but I doubt it exists.
END GAME SPOILERS!!
If there isn't any other ending besides the professor using Terry and the player and abandoning both once the ship is operational, then this could be one of the worst endings in a game ever. It left me quite baffled, especially since it looked like my game just froze up after the credits.
Overall the game has a lot of interesting ideas and mechanics, and some good meta-humor, but it all falls pretty flat. Although, my expectations were a little high with all the hype from the forum and I had just gotten into Killer 7 (another Grasshopper game). It is a fun diversion, but I can't fully recommend it.
The game hooked me right away with the intro, but I was unimpressed by the 32-bit styled backgrounds in the bottom screen, and the environments and gameplay really turned me off so I quit after about an hour of playing.

I can't agree more. I'm kind of sad because I really contributed to the hype, too. Clever writing and charm can only carry a game so far; by the time I hit the desert I was bored out of my skull.
I'm stuck in the Army Fort. I made it to the boss there, but by then I'd run out of potions and one hit killed me.
Also, how do you make Mochi do anything when you use a decal to bring him into a fight? He shows up and then immediately goes away whenever I try to use him.
First time I was burned by the PA hype train. Funny writing, mediocre gameplay, mediocre layouts. As funny as the professor's one liners are, it doesn't make a worthwhile purchase in my mind. I wish some of the ideas were fleshed out a bit more.

The game is charming but the gameplay kind of got old for me after about 8 hours.

Book was good too.
The game is based on that book/movie?
Not in the slightest.

I left it sitting after I got tired of waiting. I'll load it up later and try again.
Not going to bother with the WiFi again though, it's not worth it.

Once you play with him more, he gets extremely strong and does crazy damage.
