verm is just a bad concept in a game full of really really good concepts
virtually all the enemies in BL2 are amazingly fun to fight, and have unique movement and attack patterns
this provides some excellent areas to run around in and shoot stuff, even better than BL1
but the surest way to suck the fun out of a game is to encourage sitting around for hours and hours fighting the same exact enemy and NOT experiencing that diverse gameplay

All right so whoever developed the quest 'Arms Dealing' in The Highlands - Overlook can rot in hell.
It's really not that bad. If you're having difficulty stash a runner near the first of the second group of arms and one back at Overlook. Then just teleport. You should have piles of time after doing that.
Thank you kindly. I've grown tired of farming heads/skins and I don't have a character capable of killing the raid bosses yet. If you have one for Axton, pm me some details.
I'd PM you but I figure others may be interested to, after 26 bunker kills without a head drop I gave up on farming them myself. As for the other skins/heads somebody posted them in the last thread but I can't find the link for the life of me and google seems to be filled with 360 saves it seems.
I'll be able to re-upload them in a bit if you have no luck.
I've got over 200 (at least) Bunker kills myself :P No worries.
Wow, very glad I didn't keep trying my lucks terrible borderlands three would be out before I'd see one...Can definitely see where loot drop complaints are coming from.
Tested those on the pc version, they seem to be 360 saves.
Took me just over 40 kills to get the head off Henry, been killing the endboss for a CC and that's nearing 100 kills. The droprates are kinda weaksauce.
The pc version should be right now, tested it before uploading and just now out of paranoia.
edit: beaten to it, there's the original ^^
I put those saves and see the characters in my Borderlands 2 launch screen, but Axton doesn't have any new heads unlocked on my current characters? Or am I using this incorrectly?
Anyone that is having troubles getting orange-level guns, I can get you pretty much whatever you need (PC). Currently can get level ranges 8-13, 38, 50. Steam name in sig.

it won't unlock on your current character, until you use those new saves.

Did you load the character and use all the skins sitting in their inventory?
Ah ha, didn't realize you had to activate them. All right, thanks for posting that. Speeds things up. I'm not above unlocking some cosmetic stuff on the fly, but I'll find my own guns and mods.
Is it just me, or is it harder if not impossible to grenade jump now? It was a huge help in the first game, but all my attempts in the second game so far have failed.
Yeah, the boost you get is amazing, an the accuracy isn't even noticeable until you hit ~75, which is a crap ton of damage already. I'm really looking forward to having Discord so I can hover around 75-100 and get the best of both worlds.

Just beat the game! Yay! That means I can come into threads and not worry about spoilers.. until next week!
Now that that's out of the way, I hope to hop into more multiplayer games. Is there an etiquette for doing that?
Also.. for the life of me, I can't find a guide to what the symbols next to everyone's names on the start screen actually means. I even read the manual, something I haven't done in years -- nada. Are there any guides to just what those icons mean?

the little blue ones next to the level of the player? it indicates what class the person is playing as.
It's the same icon as what you see in-game for your active skill.

No, no.. I got that. I meant the skull, the checkmark, the warning symbol.. those things.
Also I don't see if there is any way to tell if a player is running normal or vault hunter. Now that I've beaten the game on Normal with one char, can I start a vault hunter run with the other chars?

you mean the icon in front the name of the quest that the person is on?
it indicates how hard that quest would be compared to your current character selected, and whether or not you've completed it already or not.
so a red skull would be "this is way too hard for you, your going to die so very much" a checkmark is you've done it, etc.
you can only start in tvhm on a character that's already completed the game, and there isn't a way to tell if someone is on it, but anyone over about lv.35 is almost guaranteed to be.

You can see when someone is playing on TVH mode. When you click another player's name at the title screen the difficulty is noted in the top-right corner of the box that comes up with options to join, or invite them.

Huh... then why the heck do I see people with "My First Gun" as a skull when the character is level 1?
Anyways, I figured it would be something like that. I beat Borderlands and did the DLC, but I didn't do a ton with the Vault Hunter modes. I have no clue what I want to do next. Part of me wants to continue finding hidden shit, another part wants to 100% the side missions, and a big part of me wants to level more characters... but I don't want to start lvl 1.

Also, if I have just one request for DLC?
Endgame/completion spoiler:
I want to do a mission fighing alongside Brick with Tiny Tina riding on his shoulders, throwing out bombs. Damnit, Gearbox, you can't tease that and then not make it happen!

The matchup icons have a loading screen tip. Not exactly the best place for it, but the info is technically there.
There's actually some pretty rare and useful tips, such as that Nomads can actually issue orders to other bandits. After learning that, I realized that cries of "Focus on the assassin!" weren't just random chatter.
Subsequently, I noticed that some of the Hyperion troops could give orders too. When I heard it happen, it wasn't clear if the one who spoke was the Sniper or the Raptor, however.
Hooray, now LAN just doesn't want to work. Steam invite does, but no LAN games found out of the blue. Sigh. Hopefully this randomly clears up like it randomly started.

I could've sworn the nomad tip came up for me in actual gameplay. But yeah, there's some useful tips in there. I also love the fact that there are many, many places where the chatter is tailored to your character. Including a wonderful section near the end of the game..
Handsome Jack with Salvador's accent was awesome. Then again, I'm a sucker for things like that in games.
So instead of getting my Gunzerker to level 50, I'm running with Gaige(I point in Anarchy and the rest in Best Friends Forever) and have got her to level 15.
Now, it may just be that on second play through I'm playing better, but she's coming across as a loooooooot easier to play than Salvadore. Rarely going to second wind, and when I do, the ricochets or Deathtrap make sure I'm back up in short order.
I'm thinking of getting her to 50 first instead.

So my roommate and I have been playing through True Vault Hunter Mode and were doing the Dam Mission...
I had no idea that you can fail that and have to go to a completely different area to rescue Roland
.
Also Super Badass Warloaders and Constructors suck ass. We are both level 38 but they take forever to kill, we need to get better weapons, but we are trying to save all the sidequests for 2.5

I did sidequests with non-weapon rewards - makes PT2 more manageable.

If on PC, there's a some files linked earlier in this thread with all the skins, which despite porting over here, I haven't used.

I'm not saying it's anywhere near PSO levels, but when you go below 1% for item drops you've entered mad world.
it won't unlock on your current character, until you use those new saves.

Not even a grenade, just a beacon you have to place in melee range
Because then my melee Zer0 might actually use grenades every once in awhile :P
yea i think that a point in anarchy and at least a point or 2 in close enough is worth it for any mechro build
