So no one else is crashing upon "Downloading updates" STILL? Just lucky me, huh? Hope they reply/fix it speedily again.
Edit: And they probably wont fix it, but it's there weird ass coding doing it, get this: My firewall stops the game from checking for updates- CRASH! At least that's sorted, but really weird it just showed up in 1.2 and that it's a problem at all.

EDIT: Same user also has videos of himself melee killing Saturn (in one hit), the Warrior, and Terra solo btw
If that was directed at me I am impressed. Had I been aware of that particular shield combo I would have definitely used it. However since I had neither the shield, nor any of the same gear as him, even at the appropriate level for the fight, it is not really relevant to what I was trying to say anyways. I did all of TVHM as Bloodshed Zer0 with not really more effort then playthrough 1 except for those two instances. And especially in the case of the first I wanted to see the B0re glitch in action. Which if you have to farm him makes it easier then killing most same level mobs. TVHM is a bit overtuned for someone who just wants to fight harder enemies with the bigger talent pool that levelling up allows in my opinion. Maybe not for most of us here, but we would represent a tiny fraction of the player base.
so I made it to the thresher who eats the beacon ID thing after sanctuary moves, and I'm pretty sure there's no way for me to beat it. It regenerates it's shield super fast, tunnels all over the place, and loaders spawn periodically to harass me.
hold your head high soldier, it ain't over yet
that's why we call it the struggle, you're supposed to sweat

One way I found to do that is to lead it back to the doorway into the dock area, and then lower the bridge and run across that and hide on the crate moving mechanism, that gives you enough cover to pop in and out of and moves you into and out of its aggro zone. You will need a lot of ammo though if you are under leveled for it, or a shock, then a fire weapon.
It is very definitely one of the speed bumps in all my playthroughs.

It can't cross the bridge over the water. Lead it back there, hammer it from afar with a shock weapon (toss grenades at it after the shield is depleted).
My computer may have died yesterday afternoon. I am ok with that unless it also includes a dead hard-drive, because I will be less than happy if I lose a level 49 Axton and a level 34 Maya.
Assuming Gearbox hasn't totally screwed the game up with the new patch you can just use an editor to give yourself back anything you lost. Really easy to at least give your characters back.

MISTER TORGUE @ECHOcasts
THIS IS MISTER TORGUE COMIN AT YOU FROM PANDORA I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS FIRSTLY ARE YOU READY TO BLOW SOME SH*T UP AND SECONDLY HOW ARE THINGS
Also it looks like our new vehicle is a motorcycle which obviously we still won't he able to use in the main game even though it shouldn't be that difficult.
I have a podcast now. It's about video games and anime!Find it here.

Saxton Hale got tired of running the TF2 Mann Co. store, takes over as head of Torgue?
I'm not giving them a penny for DLC until they address the drop rates, and I'm DAMN sure not payi g for a level cap increase if they don't address the scaling issues. I have zip interest in this unless it comes complete with a patch for the game's two biggest outstanding issues.

I was thinking descendant of Hale, personally.
Maybe Torgue *is* Mann Co, one thousand or so years down the line? They do both love selling weapons to mercs that explode (even if they're not supposed to)...

It's a evolution of the idea. Mann Co items sometimes explode and sometimes do not, and it is considered a defect if they explode when not expected. Torgue items always explode and you'd better bet that MISTER TORGUE would be very upset if one didn't.

Yeah I don't see myself doing another Geary run.
Like, ever.
