It looks like he meant more that they would be doing something to Sona to make her less powerful. They don't typically buffs other champs, they typically nerf the powerful ones.
They also rework old champs.

Right, I am criticizing the people who are all "BOOO, BOOO SONA'S BEING NERFED"
No one likes their favourite champions being nerfed but sometimes it needs to happen.

You know, I'd totally be okay if they removed the stun on the ult if they upped the damage on it and fixed her ratios on her abiltiies. Keep her niche as the mage offensive support.
Removed the stun on Crescendo? You mean like, make it a slow at least? Because no one would play her if it was just a damage ability
Actually, I just had a idea. When it fires, all enemies in the Crescendo effect area are hit by all three Power Chord effects at the same time. (So it hits them for damage, reduces their outgoing damage, and slows them.) Maybe with a increased effect/duration than the normal ones?

Yeah, this. I don't think it's crazy to say that supports haven't become flavour of the month over the past year or so because they were innately strong (since the days of heals dominating, at least), but rather because the competition continually get hit with the nerfbat.
I would argue that that happens with every other role, it simply isn't noticed as much because within support there is such a small sample size that it becomes immediately prominent when 20% of the options get nerfed.
Me and Raslin basically have the same problem. I was thinking about doing a Olaf Sampsen skin then I realized that
A. I know nothing about any people in this forum
B. Im pretty sure Sampsen doesn't even play Olaf anymore

Taric kind of dumps on her as well. Leona can punish her hard if the lane can make it work.
The usability GCD tweaks she got did help her alot, though.

I'm... Honestly not quite sure either? There are mastery changes to so maybe that will have something to do with it
But, either way, from what information we have now, Warwick and fiddlesticks are having a parade while everyone else just kind of sits around like 'well fuck'

Not necessarily, because the junglers are that only borderline possible with the current weak camps will be replaced by the ones who stopped being viable without strong camps. And better itemization for junglers will somehow make it better, I guess. I'll have to see how it plays out, but it seems like a good idea to me, it's kind of annoying how you get so little from clearing camps that you have to go GP/10 (unless you're playing Kayle and get your money from murdering everyone instead).

Pretty much this, yeah. I mean, Leona is still working pretty well, but when people prefer to awkwardly push Zyra into support rather than have to play most other support-type characters, clearly something has gone weird at some point.
Unless you are amazing at him, and even then a lot of champs can just destroy him. Nothing is more fun than picking veigar and forcing a karthus to start merc+negatron, and still zone him.

Players use Zyra as a support because she has great damage and a huge AOE CC even with no items. It's not like players aren't picking Soraka or Janna because Zyra does what they do better - players are picking Zyra as a support because she does something that they want on their team that those characters do not do.
Who is king of supports right now is partially dependent on how strong certain supports are, but it's also influenced by who the strong ADs are and what the strategy for the carry is. When you're not babysitting your carry and just farming all game, surprise, Soraka is not all that amazing a pick - nor should she be. Soraka is for a specific strategy and when teams don't run that strategy she isn't picked. Same reason why Janna isn't picked - not because she's weak, but because her particular style of support doesn't work as well with the strong early laning AD carry kings.
e: You don't bring someone like Singed to top lane to do the job of Jayce. You don't bring LeBlanc to do Morgana's job. Support's exactly the same, the problem generally is that there are perhaps not enough options within the subclasses of support.
We are adding a lot of support-oriented items with this in mind, though, and alternate ways to get gold (cool new mastery for supports inc...). I actually don't mind zero CS - I mind that support don't get gold that they can use to buy cool items. That is what we'll fix here.

W- Story telling: Dread Pirate Arbuthnot reads her fan fiction, causing damage and stunning all enemy champions within range. Damage and stun duration based on number of pages written.
E- Make puns: Dread Pirate Arbuthnot tells several pun jokes to an enemy champion, taunting them
R- Generosity: Dread Pirate Arbuthnot donates her gold to the rest of the team

That really doesn't make any sense since the jungle is the least of League's issues. It has the most variety out of all the positions. Tanky CC, bruiser, AD or AP assassin, melee AD

Jungle changes will probably mean that sub-30s only have like 3 safe jungle choices again. Not that most of them jungle anyway.
As a support player I have to say that alot of the time supports I enjoy just feel a bit rubbish.
Sona is awesome and I love her (poke poke poke poke kill).
Soraka to me has the issue that she's SO specialised there's very little reason to pick her outside of mana-boosting someone like Corki, Varus or Jayc or picking a late game champ and desperately trying to sustain lane. I wish they'd change how starcall worked to make it more viable as an ability to level up for laning poke (maybe make it target based AOE as opposed to Player based).
Janna is honestly fine to me, she's got enough of everything to more or less always be useful and her ulti can still win games.
Leona's always being my joke piss about support, not saying she's strong just that usually when I'm using Leona I've had a glass or two of cider and my play becomes shouting Leona's name at the top of my voice while ramming her into that mother fudging Ezreal on the opposite team.
Karma is fun, if you wanna do gimmicky bullshit then take Karma in a lane with either Vayne or Twitch where you can sheild spam for great justice. I hope the re-work is kind to her.
Lux and Zyra can be considered the same category of supports considering they more or less play the same in that role, and both are fine, I'd say Zyra's better due to plants and AOE knock up.
Orianna is awesome fun, to me the strongest poke you get when playing support. Though I feel she could use a tad buff on her Q range.
Outside of that I don't play manly supports but:
Taric is obviously fine
Cow is fine
Blitz could be nerfed to the point where all he had was his hook and fist combo on a one minute cooldown and he'd still be fine (not to say he's OP, but that those abilities are innately very strong).
Fiddles is apparently a thing which I may try but I suspect he's fine if pros are picking him up
Nunu is fine
Gangplank I haven't seen in about half a year, let alone playing support pirate.
Honestly I think the issue for why bot-lanes so stagnent is you have those few mobile high mid-game burst AD's shoving everyone else out of lane, because they do so much more than just carry, and sure they wont carry as hard as some of the more old school champs (except Caitlyn, who I love dearly but can't think of a single reason to pick right now) but will bully any of the harder carries out of lane with no trouble making late game irrelevant because the Ezreal will defaultly be up an item on the Vayne or Kog'maw anyways. To me they really need to take something away from those 3, Ez should have less poke in return for the awesome flash, Graves should have less mobility and utility in return for the free tank stats and burst. No I have no idea how you'd do it, I just wish Riot would do it because it's becoming beyond stupid seeing 3/4 AD's being the only picks.
Having said that AD is probably the narrowest role (farm creeps for items then punch things) so I suppose it's hard for Riot to have a great number of champions doing the role.

It's good that the jungle allows a lot of different jungles, but it's basically too easy if someone has a slow jungler to just go shyvana and destroy them. Also, it lets things like Ali jungle flourish, when they should have more trouble and have SOME tradeoff between ganking/farming.

Ali jungle is gank gank gank gank gank but I find it hard simply because he has such ridiculously high mana costs and his clear times are absolutely horrendous
I am taking a self imposed week long break from league/computer time. I have become a raging goose over the past week, getting upset at the slightest misstep. I actually snapped at another player last night. I behaved like a complete and full on goose towards arguably the nicest, most generous member of our community the night before that.
Work has been stressful, and I have started to take it out on other people and behave like the very people I detest.... so if you see me playing league... remind me to get off it and complete another task!!
I have decided to listen to daft punk and become harder, better, faster and stronger. Time to hit the gym, clean the house and focus more on being a decent human being.

Kayle out of the jungle is kindof ridiculous right now. after lvl 2, notice a lane has pushed too far, Q+Repeatedly beat them with flaming sword.
I'm actually of the opinion that Kayle is a little OP right now. There's literlly no lane that you can take her, including top, and I don't know of many counters, fiora supposedly, but the last time I faced a fiora I beat the shit out of them with my Q's, then ult'ed through her ult. then killed her.

Lux and Zyra can be considered the same category of supports considering they more or less play the same in that role, and both are fine, I'd say Zyra's better due to plants and AOE knock up.
Orianna is awesome fun, to me the strongest poke you get when playing support. Though I feel she could use a tad buff on her Q range.
Outside of that I don't play manly supports but:
Taric is obviously fine
Cow is fine
Blitz could be nerfed to the point where all he had was his hook and fist combo on a one minute cooldown and he'd still be fine (not to say he's OP, but that those abilities are innately very strong).
Fiddles is apparently a thing which I may try but I suspect he's fine if pros are picking him up
Nunu is fine
Gangplank I haven't seen in about half a year, let alone playing support pirate.
Honestly I think the issue for why bot-lanes so stagnent is you have those few mobile high mid-game burst AD's shoving everyone else out of lane, because they do so much more than just carry, and sure they wont carry as hard as some of the more old school champs (except Caitlyn, who I love dearly but can't think of a single reason to pick right now) but will bully any of the harder carries out of lane with no trouble making late game irrelevant because the Ezreal will defaultly be up an item on the Vayne or Kog'maw anyways. To me they really need to take something away from those 3, Ez should have less poke in return for the awesome flash, Graves should have less mobility and utility in return for the free tank stats and burst. No I have no idea how you'd do it, I just wish Riot would do it because it's becoming beyond stupid seeing 3/4 AD's being the only picks.
Having said that AD is probably the narrowest role (farm creeps for items then punch things) so I suppose it's hard for Riot to have a great number of champions doing the role.
It's good that the jungle allows a lot of different jungles, but it's basically too easy if someone has a slow jungler to just go shyvana and destroy them. Also, it lets things like Ali jungle flourish, when they should have more trouble and have SOME tradeoff between ganking/farming.
I am taking a self imposed week long break from league/computer time. I have become a raging goose over the past week, getting upset at the slightest misstep. I actually snapped at another player last night. I behaved like a complete and full on goose towards arguably the nicest, most generous member of our community the night before that.
Work has been stressful, and I have started to take it out on other people and behave like the very people I detest.... so if you see me playing league... remind me to get off it and complete another task!!
I have decided to listen to daft punk and become harder, better, faster and stronger. Time to hit the gym, clean the house and focus more on being a decent human being.

Kayle out of the jungle is kindof ridiculous right now. after lvl 2, notice a lane has pushed too far, Q+Repeatedly beat them with flaming sword.
I'm actually of the opinion that Kayle is a little OP right now. There's literlly no lane that you can take her, including top, and I don't know of many counters, fiora supposedly, but the last time I faced a fiora I beat the shit out of them with my Q's, then ult'ed through her ult. then killed her.
similar to jax. hit them with Q, back away... slaughter them to the tune of 10-0-2 start.
