In the water areas at the north end of the inverted castle, there are a couple blocks of the map that I can't seem to explore. They're in the water along the top of the room, but the ceiling is too low for me to get up there. I can 't find any breakable walls or anything. Anybody know how to get up there?

I think it's just a problem with the 360 version. You can't get there. Even looking at full maps of the game (for PSX) shows you can't get there
Ok, this one is weird. You know that big rock in the room with the holes on both sides? You have to walk through first as a wolf, then turn into a bat and fly back through. I'm not kidding. I have no idea how anyone figured that out. I don't remember which side you have to start on, though. There won't be anything that lets you know you did it right, so you just have to look at the wall.
Harpies and Medusa Head room:
On the walls, there are 4 gears. Two in one room, two in the adjacent room. You have to hit the gears and let them click. Once you hit a gear and it makes a soft noise instead of a loud one, stop hitting it. Turn off your familiar to make it easier, because if you hit it again you'll have to start over on that one. Do this to all 4 gears, and the room will be open.

Those blocks in the water: You can explore them, it's just weird. You have to use the gravity boots to pop up there, then turn into the wolf and swim around (hold y).

nah you can go there, otherwise no one can get 200.6% achievement
you have to hit the exact top of the water as a wolf
Its easiest to get the hard to reach parts by doing the moon jump thing with the gravity boots, then at the moment you hit the ceiling shift into wolf form. It somehow raises you up into the ceiling a tiny amount-- just enough for you to get the map tile.

Okay, so, I'm at 200.2%. I don't see any gaps in either castle map and I got the aforementioned rooms plus a couple of the other breakable walls. I suspect I'm missing the same two tiles in both castles but I can't find them with a map comparison. Can anybody think of specific breakable wall areas that I might be missing? I got the Merman room, the demon familiar switch, the two in the Alchemy Lab, and probably one or two more I'm forgetting.

hahaha, I went back and got the water areas and now I'm in the same place as you
I just need the Richter achievement and Bloodlines. I keep messing up on Bloodlines but I know I can do it
Bloodlines is a freebie. Use the hidden room to grab a couple extra hearts. Then grab the Holy Water from the leftmost torch in Dracula's room, press Y to do Hydro Storm a couple times, easy win. Incidentally, abusing that special is the only plausible way to quickly beat the game with Richter when stuff in the inverted castle kills you in two hits.

My problem with the inverted castle isn't the enemies, it's having to superjump everywhere
Pain in the ass. Now, to get the Richter achievement and never play the game again.
Ironically, I already have those areas, but I'm at 200.2%. I already have that map, but I can't seem to find any places I haven't been yet. Is there a list of secret areas somewhere?
Also, when swimming as the wolf, you can tap jump while treading water. If you stop treading, jump doesn't work, but it makes navigating water as the wolf a lot easier.

What I ended up doing was opening the map in Paint on my laptop and comparing it one section at a time, erasing chunks of the map as I checked them. You should probably start with the bottom half(of the main castle), I think most of the rooms are there.
I finally got around to purchasing this game from XBLA. Before I saved I configured my controls to a layout I used in the original PSX version (putting the left handed weapon on the Right Trigger button). Worked just fine for the first little bit I played, then I made my save just before entering the alchemy lab.
When I load my game up however, I find my Left Hand mapped back to the 'B' button, but my button configuration screen still states it as being set to the Right Trigger. Now all the controls are locked to the default layout regardless of what I do on the in-game Settings screen.

the one to the left of the merman room, and the one at the bottom of the room with the harpies and Medusa heads

Just rush to save spots on the way to the last boss.

it's so annoying

Is this another glitch specific to this version?
