    Well they had to do something with all those leftover A5 processors they had laying around. Might as well slap them in a device with lower resolution than anything comparable and charge more for it.

    It looks like pretty nice device. I might buy one to replace my iPad 1. The size, which is bigger than the nexus 7 while being thinner, lighter and not made out of plastic, looks to be perfect for me.

    I had one of those for a bit and sold it

    I prefer the larger screen on the ipad

    they should release an ipad maxx that is like 15"

    35% more screen than kindle fire/nexus 7.

    65% more stuff on screen in web browser when using it landscape.

    It's bigger through some clever engineering and .85in more diagonal width.

    I'm sure those 32 fewer grams and 3 fewer millimeters are completely worth the $130 Apple tax.

    I really don't care what Apple chooses to charge. Or what products they choose to release. But in the same press conference where they trumpet a spec bump to their "revolutionary" iPad 3 and how amazing it is, they release 2 year old technology with a low resolution screen for 50% more than their main competitor's product, and try to pass it off as a step in the right direction.

    If Dell held a big press conference and dropped an all-in-one with a 1600x900 monitor and a Core2Duo processor sporting 4 gigs of RAM, they'd be out of business tomorrow.
