he does have a point however. What you said could have been said in a shorter and less insulting manner which probably would have garnered a better response.
This is likely where the calling it juvenile comes from.

when has brevity ever been my strong suit
True, but when you insult someone and they don't react favourably, to further insult them isn't the most mature course of action.
I was going to change the title, but if it annoys Pony, it's worth keeping for that fact alone!
because that's mature
He said, apparently oblivious to his juvenile tirade
It's not really juvenile to point out that the way this thread's title is constructed could be read as kind of goosey
Maybe
If his post weren't such a childish tantrum over something completely insignificant
But, here we are
That wasn't really a tantrum, though.
No offense Spex, but you might be prone to interpret strings of cussing differently from most other folks.

like
is that how things are here
use more than three swears in a post, suddenly it's a screaming tantrum?
and if the person who made the post is like "not really" your response is to be smug and be like "whatever man" like you know better
what is this now

I'd say swearing is typically considered inappropriate to public decorum because those words most frequently express extreme vitriol, hate, disgust, etc., not because they're too exciting or modify expressions too much. I feel like that shouldn't be very controversial.
And saying that your diction can convey things beyond your intentions doesn't really compare to death of the author, either.

Vann Diras Is Too Cool For School
but it would have taken just one sentence for him to state his point
and he instead spread it out via various paragraphs
kinda like this
so it was at the very least a dragged-out tirade
Steam
