Also, no surprise that the link to the Daughters of the Eyrewood song is overloaded, but I'm looking forward to listening to it, based solely on that line Gabe posted, which is indeed both awesome and fits the tone of his painting so well.
Hurrah for more Fruit Fucker. Now if only we had some more Twisp and Catsby up ins.
I quite enjoyed it, it wasn't edgy but it was amusing.

Twisp and Catsby cameo otherwise it would've been perfect!
Also: It doesn't necessarily mean he found anything erotic ... just thought the potential was there.

How much of...that..do you actually see in The Human Centipede?
If it's not too explicit I might consider watching it, just to see what all the fuss is about.
I don't think the first one was too explicit which i saw, the second I think was according to a friend of mine
Second as related to the commentary, The Vengence Trilogy is pretty good but Mr/Mrs vengence are slow as shit to get started and I still haven't been able to make it through them. Oldboy is a cinematic masterpiece but netflix streaming butchers it with awful dubbing. DO NOT WATCH ON NETFLIX.
Third, For great korean horror/thriller that blows "The Vengance Trilogy" away, watch "I Saw The Devil". Its so far and away better than all 3 of those movies its not even funny. Plus netflix keeps the original subtitles in and does minimal butchering to the online streaming version.
Finally, for those who are looking for unique horror films for this halloween, I have done a 1 horror movie a day write up for the month of October on my facebook and there are movies for every walk of horror life from violent, to funny, to scary and the best ones are all 3 at the same time. You might be surprised to see just how few you might recognize and how much good horror there is still unwatched out there. All of them except for 1 or 2 are from the year 2000 and newer. Good stuffs for Halloween. Just a FYI for people wanting halloween movie suggestions that dont include "Paranormal Activity" or "The Shining" or some other over watched drivel.

I don't...
what?
Way way way over-rated movie. If the shining is your idea of a great horror movie, great scary movie, or even a great thriller, then I suggest expanding your movie horizons.
Its not a terrible movie by any means but its definitely a product of its time and doesn't hold up that well by todays standards. Its plodding and Shelly Duvual is just.... well shes just awful.
Here is part 1.
How can you call the Shining drivel? It may be over-watched but its still an amazing horror movie! To this day I cant take a shower without fearing some old naked zombie hag is in there! it traumatized me!!

I could hug you. The Shining really wasn't all that great and Shelly Duvual was utterly terrible. In all honesty I preferred the TV mini series made in 1997 over Kubrick's monstrous bore of a film.
I shall be watching Creepshow tonight (Trick r Treat was last year and the wife loved it, so Creepshow seemed a good choice).

But fuck you — no, fuck y'all, that's as blunt as it gets"
- Kendrick Lamar, "The Blacker the Berry"
For the record, I didn't like either version. And true to message board form, everything else I said was ignored because I made a throw-away comment about the shining. Now waiting for the inevitable responses of the "If you don't like that movie, you have no valid opinion about anything else" bandwagon.
Both are fine choices, thou Trick r Treat stole Creepshows crown for best Anthology.
I recommend "The Innkeepers" since im guessing your going the Netflix route. The best blend of funny, scary and gore in a horror movie in years. I can't think of enough good things to say about it. I guess now that I think of it, Hey! All of you who think movies about empty hotels are scary! Watch the "The Innkeepers"! Its not the best movie ever made but its still a damn fine horror film! Satisfaction guaranteed (thou the end is kinda weak)
For the sake of keeping the peace, I apologize for using the shining example thou. I should have known better and went with something like "Saw" instead. (I guess it cant be that bad, even the topic of the shining brings out a little crazy hahahha)

I do like slow pacing in certain films (House of the devil, The Woman, Antichrist ) but yes, alot of the time it drives me nuts. Like if the movie was tightened up just a bit it would be much more entertaining.
It's worth seeing - aside from the crazy "Here's Johnny!" scene, its influenced a lot of horror and general cinema.
