OK, so I'm looking at Black Ops 2 on steam and notice the season pass option. For $69.99.
It even says in the small print: Based on Season Pass suggested retail price of $49.99 and four DLC Map Packs at a suggested retail price of $14.99 each.
Fuck you steam, this is why no one in Australia buys shit from you.

I primarily use a wired controller, because I agree that it's a better option, but this one's the latest in a long line of 360 controllers that refuses to not list.
I really should get a proper wired controller since my wireless one can't hold a charge anyway so is constantly connected to my xbox by its charging cable

Got it 16 hours ago and first had time to play like 4 hours ago, Type 25 looks like the new FAMAS so far, Sensor Grenades are fucking shit, they explode after a few seconds and they are really horrible at detecting enemies and since Ghost is so far down the progress tree, UAV spam everywhere.

Havent really noticed anything bad regarding the netcode so far (I did choose the "Search for best connection" option though), BlOps 2 seems more solid in that regard than BlOps was, also faster paced.
I've been playing Boot Camp and it is a nice concept, its basically a Combat Training that'll let you level up to level 10 with a mix of humans/bots before throwing you into normal matches, but you keep your level afterwards.
EDIT: Boot Camp also doesnt change your stats apparently, so you could start with it and be level 10 with 0 kills, 0 deaths, etc.

Havent really noticed anything bad regarding the netcode so far (I did choose the "Search for best connection" option though), BlOps 2 seems more solid in that regard than BlOps was, also faster paced.
I've been playing Boot Camp and it is a nice concept, its basically a Combat Training that'll let you level up to level 10 with a mix of humans/bots before throwing you into normal matches, but you keep your level afterwards.
EDIT: Boot Camp also doesnt change your stats apparently, so you could start with it and be level 10 with 0 kills, 0 deaths, etc.

One of the things that made prefer Blops over MW3 (and BF3 over MW3) was that it the average TTK was just enough higher that you had a chance to make it to cover when you start taking damage.
Interesting side note: Even though I am currently residing in Alaska, which is so very far behind the rest of the country timezone-wise, they aren't going to unlock my Steam purchase until actual local-time midnight. Seems strange but I guess it's no stranger than sticking to physical store release dates for digital products.

I was going to the midnight launch at first but then I thought about it.
I've found that the constant presence of UAV's is great. Free points towards my killstreak for shooting them down. Thanks, other team.
And yes, pistols are fairly powerful.
And yes, the type 25 is fairly widely used at this time, though it's not that great to me. The one you unlock before the scar seems good, a bit like an ACR in terms of slightly less power but accurate.
The sound is inconsistent, but the ability to auto-generate a highlight reel from theater is brilliant. I'm gonna play combat training Dom and then I'll rejoin you suckers if you haven't all raged out.

Every gun seems to penetrate everything.
All guns have been replaced with laser rifles, apparently.
Hunter killers are much less annoying than RCXD were.
UAVs are probably overpowered now that they give you points for every kill scored while they're up.
Assuming the stats are right, the fully automatic pistol (KAP-40) has the highest damage of any automatic weapon and a RPM that rivals an SMG.
And the semi-automatic pistols kill in 2 shots at short range and have a higher RPM than either of the semi-automatic rifles.
This sounds like its going to be so easy to abuse.
Might want to double-check your math.
With ghost at max level it's about as fun as it sounds.

The game still actively punishes you for being the host though, time to block some ports.
And well, BLOPS had shit for sound design so can't say I'm surprised on that front.
It's just that the sound in the game has no effect on the skillcap whatsoever.
Pressing Ctrl + v is so hard.
