Also, according to Vonderschmurg on Twidder, they've improved Dub XP feedback. I guess there was an issue last time? People didn't understand how to read the after action reports? I dunno... I knew I was getting 2x XP when I leveled up every two minutes...
Everyone has a price. Throw enough gold around and someone will risk disintegration.
Wow, a fellow Finn just said something like, "I really respect Jurgen for using the shield" He was in the opposing team after they lost a match of domination. It's rare to hear something like that with this game.

Yeah, there's a little notification on everything now. Like, a little Double XP! WOO! graphic below, say, a triple kill notification while playing.
I like how they'll go public about the small petty shit like double XP but all the work to fix the rubberbanding they've been mute about because admitting its there would open the entire can of worms that they've been denying this entire time.
Hijacked sucks almost as bad as Nuketown. Too small causing the game to become a explosive, spawn-flipping mess. What would be awesome is if you could downvote certain maps so you don't join those games as frequently.

I've never really understood the hate for Nuketown. You guys mostly play as a group, right? With a little communication, it's remarkably easy to lock it down and ramp up your K/D. Even if you don't wind up trapping the other team (either because it's not working, or it's just not your thing) it's still small enough that there's constant action. Even if the map's chaotic, and enemies could be coming from every direction, it's still awesome because it's a chance to improve your reaction time, situational awareness, map knowledge, etc. I just fucking love Nuketown, I guess.
I've never had a problem with explosives, either, but I run Flak Jacket on every class.
I mean, I get where people are coming from. It definitely is kind of an explosive, spawn-flipping mess, but I think those are good things, personally.

Hijacked is good for Dom because it's not terribly difficult to break up the enemy's defenses and allow your team to take B. Annoying in TDM/KC though.
I dislike or outright detest around half the maps. I don't think I've ever felt that way about this many maps in a COD. Heck, Revolution from WaW would be decent compared to some of these shitpiles. A lot of it is because of just how badly they ruined Dom, but I can't put my finger on exactly why I don't like them in other modes, either.

Nuketown (and Hijacked) both suffer from bad spawns = insta-die syndrome. That is not fun for anyone, except maybe the assholes that have you locked in a death cycle.

Yeah. Whenever someone compliments me on my play in a shooter I don't know how to feel.

So doing the daily clan challenge for Domination caps with my brother tonight. We are rocking Dom caps like a boss. 9-ish caps each a round. Feeling boss. Look at the score board and see at the end of both rounds 3 or more team mates having 1-2 caps...max. Da Fuq? Who goes into Domination and not play the objective? Its not like ground war where TDM and KC appear. People just legit walk past the flag and wander off into the sunset.
Short answer. Everyone goes into Domination to play FFA... its infuriating. If you are lucky you have one or two players in your team actually working the objectives.

I always feel like punching people in the dick for voting Hijacked.

It's funny, because this has been the case for years and years. You could have written that post back in 2007, during the reign of Call of Duty 4, and it would have been just as true. People, just in general, don't give a fuck about anything but getting kills. And I've never understood why. I'm not like that, and I never have been. Even back when I played by myself, or in a very small group, the only thing that mattered to me was the objective. I had a 300+ Win Streak back in CoD4, and that's before we had our crew.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that there are people out there who want to play the objectives, and care about winning. If you're lucky, like you said, and find yourself on a team where one or two other guys are capping bags? Do yourself a favor and invite them to your party. Maybe they'll be dickheads, and maybe they'll be cool; you'll have to test the waters a bit. But if you do this for a long enough time, you'll eventually cultivate a pretty decent squad. That's more or less the way I met all the people I play with.

I play solo, but still love nuketown because it's just a chaotic scramble. Plus it's good for grenade kills, which I rarely get.
I like Hijacked, but have recently been using it to level up my LMG - I try to either pin down a side, or go to the room overlooking B and provide cover support. Just unocked the Target Module thing, and it's great with long sightlines.

I know I've been in a bad group when I finish top in a losing side - as it means the points I've gained for defending and attacking the points have outweighed the FFA action of the rest of my side - most of whom will have 1 capture. I'm not a great shooter, so the points you get for actually playing objectives are especially valuable.

Just got NY or LAPD on their ass. Dump the entire magazine, just to make sure.
I may actually jump online in a bit to get me some of that 2xp.
edit: nah, I'm beat. Long night at work and another one ahead of me. I can't wait for this damned holiday schedule to end.
So y'all talked me into retrying the M8A1 and holy shit thanks for that guys. Thing is a monster, and now with Select Fire it feels like a jack of all trades.
Also took Flak Jacket around for its first real spin in this CoD. Again, suddenly it was awesome. I've never seen so many players try to blow me up. At one point I survived two SMAWs (?) and a grenade through my hidey-hole window.
Got so confident I figured I'd give pub Dom another go. And it was good again! You just have to play a little more zone-defence than crazy-B-charge. Then we got Hijacked Dom and the fun ended.
The moral of the story here is that BLOPS2 is good fun except for Hijacked.

All you have to do in pub Dom on Hijacked is grab your favorite shotgun, run through the tunnel, and fuck up the other team in their building. They'll be either dying or focused on finding you, meaning they won't be able to defend or cap B, meaning your team will win.
I take it you didn't play pub Dom on Meltdown where the other side got B first and understood that defending flags is a thing, because that map makes me want to punch people.
If I'm the top scorer on my side, it means my side was horrible.

haha I didn't mean it universally. for me it is. I didn't enjoy MW3, and more than not enjoying BO2, I just don't care.
the hyperbole was intended to be hyperbolic, anyway.

Also, drinking beer so it pretty much renders that question useless. CoD it is !
