It only seems to allow a physical cartridge purchase. What do?
Probably because it's not released yet. As soon as the game is on the shop I would think you'd be able to buy it there and it would download automatically at your house or wherever.
anybody know how large it is digital? I've got it reserved at gamestop, but am thinking I'd probably like to download it at midnight (if it's available) and save my self a trip to town. But... I only have the default available memory on the switch, I haven't bought a large card yet.

Have to wonder if humans have been going extinct since the first Disgaea, as they can't reincarnate, anymore. Because nobody is paying them any damn money.

I guess the ones in Celestia didn't need money. Would that mean that only the worst stay gone? Or become problems like Seedle, I guess.
Going into 2-1 as a veteran player was amusing. I could have done what the game suggested and manipulate the effects to make myself stronger, sure. Or I could have made the entire level explode multiple times. Guess which one I did?
The two main ideas presented by this company’s games seem to be that a) ganging up on guys is actually super moral and really a lot of fun, and b) you should sort of be able to do what you want. If you want to make a new guy for your party, there’s a bunch of base templates you can choose from - or, alternately, you can make a playable version of one of the monsters you just fought. He might be a huge moth, but it’s cool: he can gain, you know, moth levels or whatever. I read on MyCheats.com that a level ten Mothman can eat a whole coat in one turn, even one of those huge parkas you might see in a rap video.
getting those geochains to go off all in one turn is the most satisfying thing, and I will spend entirely too much time figuring out how to do it every level I possibly can in the item world.

It tends to fill the bonus gauge by a ton, if not completely max it, so it's quite rewarding.
I know the general strategy to do it, but for some reason I'm always stumped by it for a while. I wish there was an online solver or something, tell it the color panels and symbols you have and it figures out the most efficient way.
I mean basically it's...get two on the same color floor, then the next symbol on the color of the symbol you're going to destroy, and so forth always putting the next symbol on the color of the symbol 2 steps back, ending with null. But I try to do it efficiently and keep the existing positioning of some of them, because then it's less moving stuff around.
Generally frustrating because I like to actually fight and not just stare dumbly at colors every couple of minutes. But I feel like I need to do it for the sake of the bonus gauge and eliminating annoying panels that give enemies advantages.

It's pretty easy actually.
get all the geo symbols on the same color panels. Always default to a panel color that doesn't have a matching color geo symbol in the level.
make sure the Null geo symbol is the furthest away.
make sure the geo symbol you first destroy and the panel it's on aren't the same color.
That feels riskier to me, I messed up a few of those early on because I misjudged distance and/or the direction the color change spirals outward, and it usually requires more moving stuff around too. They start out sitting on various different colors and sometimes it's just a small tweak to chain it properly. Also quite often at least in Disgaea 1 there would be some panel sitting on a color on a tiny island far away from everything that I wouldn't be able to reach, and I'd have to incorporate that into the chain as-is.
I don't think I've ever beaten a Disgaea game, but I still love playing them. I was pleasantly surprised I could buy it and get the download working before I left for work.
I usually stick the null on whatever color geosymbol i'm about to bash and all the others on the geopanel color that has no symbol relating to it, that way it won't screw me from a distance thing.

It's never failed me and it's a LOT easier than having to parcel out the math of what changes where and how. It takes a little longer but I don't mind.

6 colors 5 color symbols, one null symbol. Put all color symbols on the color without a symbol, put the null on the color of the first symbol you'll hit. Done.
Hum...i thought it was more of a puzzle that i could never do very well. I might have to pick this up again with that hint in mind...then again ill probably just succeed in blowing myself up along with the level
Yeah. Both ways would end up working out exactly the same. The only difference is in mine the Null needs to be the furthest geo symbol from where you start the chain so you'd have an extra step in there possibly.
I felt a bit bad about grabbing all the free stuff from the complete edition, but I'm pretending it's just the carry-over progress from my 3 hour demo save.
I would like to not listen to this terrible j-pop song in the base, please.
You can pick your music hommie. Its all customization all the time. You can pick a song or a medley or random or whatever.... Under data character menu in the base.

I hated it a first and then it grew on me. It's so good.

I found that option, but there's like three crappy songs. I'm hoping I unlock more or something?
The worst song in the game is the promotional theme, Kill Real. According to the artbook, Tenpei Sato was just told "no, make it about 20 % cooler, though. Do something that's hip now."

Do they still keep Battle Comrade in the later games? I noticed they brought it into 2. Or am I the only one who likes that song?
If you want to drive yourself insane, set the base music to permanently be Fuuka's theme from D4.
I had things set on random, and accidentally left that for like, 15 straight minutes while I was shuffling units/evilities/equipments around or something.
I think it's awesome that they give us 1 million HL just for buying this, but I can see that running out fast with character purchases taking money instead of mana... just wish it was easier to get to the Assembly to raise the item levels, but that would break the game even more.
Anyone else like the NIS character? I am getting a kick out of it having a prinny as a weapon... though the three dlc characters I'm using (NIS, Female Laharl, and Swamp Witch) just trash the early mobs. Just loving the sprite work all around though and the fact that they, unlike SEGA and some others, aren't afraid to do a full localization of their game.

Because that's grown on me now.
I wouldn't mind J-pop in the base if the singer wasn't so half-baked and flat at times.
pretty sure the item world hospital song is in every game. And is a fav.

Looks like we got ourselves a bell curve, here.
