Like seriously, Leenock should have had a big econ advantage even after losing all his mutas, and then somehow made some horrible attack and fell down by 40 supply with a lower drone count. So confused at what happened.
As harrowing a test of all your abilities at once (crisp build execution, scouting/game sense, and micro) as ZvZ is, there is a special, reserved seat in the very top tier of emotions you can experience playing this game for that moment when your opponent runs Too Many Lings to Hold into a single hold-position baneling, and then desperately retreats with the 2.15 survivors.
Unrelated: I did my placement, spent my bonus pool. Lost to a 6pool and a couple of long games on big, unfamiliar maps (I un-vetoed everything for this season) but still settled in to rank-14 Silver.
Terran is *fun*! I like it, so far (or at least I like simple macro and marine/tank hehe).

I feel like anyone who beats Flash in a serious-business tournament should get a cape, like unto James Brown's famous capes, that some team flunky has to toss over their shoulders whenever they leave the booth.
Whenever such a player loses a tournament, they give up their cape - to Flash. The path from backstage to Flash's booth will eventually be carpeted with these capes.
Nothing is more frustrating than whiffing forcefields due to latency

not always - and its certainly not ONLY lag - I mean, I'm sure i could outplay them in other ways to make up for it, but I do tend to lose most of my games against people who can stutterstep well because I usually can't get my forcefields down in time to protect Colossi in a sudden engagement.
I don't want to sound like I'm only losing because of lag, because I do make dumb mistakes, but when something does go wrong due to lag, it tends to tilt me baaaaaaadly

wow so what I really didn't need was to get 2 raxed in a tvt right now
it broke me, lost my mind. but somehow this dude was just awesome and told me what I should do, insisted against me being a little fucking baby. and eventually I calmed down (I 2 raxed because I hit a tvt next and met proxy marauder which I feel like 2 rax should beat but I managed to lose that too, and in a weird way it relaxed me)
and now I have a masters level tvt practice partner.
maybe I can learn SOMETHING about how to play it. I don't even understand what the issue is to be honest so I just need to play like 20 games against someone and see what it is that's happening.
it is ruining my ladder. I think I'm 50/50 or so in other matchups but I've literally not won a tvt. and all season til today they were just mid game losses. some really disheartening because I had a lead, some where I expected it or knew the exact mistake I made. then today I try to switch it up. I cc first and get hit with proxy maruader. I tech off 1 marine with a quick gas and I get 2 raxed. I try to 2 rax and I get proxy maraudered and manage to blow it. It's inconceivable that as a follow up to being this bad I could have this bad of luck.
thank god for Random Internet Person fighting through my complete asshole mode that I was in and talking to me until I calmed down and then being friendly and offering to help.
I'm fucking on edge. I gotta stop playing at night, middle of the night. It's so so so dumb... and then I get where I don't want to go to bed while I'm pissed so I keep wanting one more. that on top of being tired, it's just asking for issues.
so anyway, this is a rant but unlike most of my rants that I type in the heat of the moment, I don't have to erase this because of extreme negativity. so there you go.
I'm going to bed now. I'll probably be too tired to play tomorrow afternoon but if not I'll be back at it with a single build I'm doing it every tvt until it's fucking perfect. then I'll ad another for map flexibility.
