I wish they'd have left DRG for the last match. I like that narrative better; it will be pretty much anticlimactic if, as we expect, Stephano just crushes Squirtle in game 9.

That's clearly the game-theoretic answer, but in this scenario Stephano has just beaten Life and DRG. If Stephano says he's ready to go, it's hard to tell him no.

The funny thing is that Stephano isn't even beating these Koreans.

He's crushing them. Every match so far has been one-sided.

As much as I'm hoping Stephano wins, I don't think it says anything about Koreans vs World.

The foreigners were getting their faces crushed (with the exception of Scarlett who almost held her own against Life) until this one guy comes out and wins everything. That doesn't say much.

Stephano is good, but he is one of the only foreigners to be this good, whereas I can think of probably 20 Koreans who could stand up to him easily, on average.

Sure, this result is just one result, and a lot of crazy bullshit can happen in just one set of five games. I do think this confirms that Stephano really is a top-flight talent, judged against any talent pool you like.

No matter how this turns out, it doesn't say much about Koreans vs World. It is, in it's entirety, 10 games. And today's games have basically been one Korean and one foreigner winning all the games.
