Need Songs for a Romantic Playlist

Could I get some helpful suggestions on songs that I can add to a list for...um...special time with a new lady friend? My current iTunes library is sorely lacking in slower, love-sick songs and I'm trying to build a playlist. I'm out of my element with this music. I'd like to hear some suggestions for slower rock songs, possibly some Indie stuff. But I'm open to any genre, especially since I have no experience with R&B. I'll even take some country suggestions (I hate country).
Here's what I have so far. I realize some of them aren't really love songs but I thought they have either a slower or mellow groove to them that kind of lends to the mood. Keep in mind also that these are the only songs I can scrounge up off my iTunes, so that might be why some of them seem obscure...or just dumb. Fell free to comment and tell me to get them the fuck off, I generally have a pretty bad read on lyrical content.
