The collective wisdom of H/A always seems to beat other options in matters of gadgetry, so maybe you can help. I'm in need of a new dedicated GPS unit.
In short: I need one that can navigate poorly planned suburban/exurban roads, small cities built for horses and buggies, and offers free map updates. I'd rather not go with TomTom since they started offering free updates several months after I bought this one and didn't grandfather in old units. This irritates me greatly.
Something in the $200 and under range is best, though units above that aren't beyond consideration.
