Of course California cold is real.

Everyone gets used to the weather in their area.

I bet I would giggle at what you people think passes for hot weather. Is what it is.

Yeah, you would. I start complaining at like eighty, but then I HATE heat. It gets up to 100 every year, sometimes hotter (or 100 in the shade, etc.) but it's pretty dry so it's not that bad.

The real killer is just that I hate the heat, and also the house used to have an oak tree over it providing shade, but that collapsed. It does have skylights though.

And you can't run stoves backwards, so you basically just have to deal with it being extremely annoyingly hot. That's what really annoys me, people treat me like I shouldn't complain because objectively it's not that bad (and, it isn't), but when

    Damn weird drafts.

Anyway, it's not that bad, but I can't go home and turn anything on, I have to accept that work is the only place it's not going to be unpleasant all day.

I will also admit I am a baby with heat. Over 75 I get annoyed. Over 85 is awful and I will complain.

Quizzy you are form LA not Phoenix. But 110 is awful. Never been in 115, probably wouldn't go outside.

I am from LA but I would go to AZ most summers as a kid. I think a little under 125 is the hottest I have been in.

We decided to get to the lake and hide in it, basically. Getting to the lack involved a van with leather seats and no AC.

It was not our best plan.

    Yes. You're borrowing skippy's rifle.

Good shooting the last two missions, by the way.

    Doesn't he.... need it?

I'm swapping you guys in and out.

    Pretty much.

Despite me complaining about the cold too, it'll be literally freezing outside and I will enjoy it and stay away from the heat.

Basically everything I hear about Japan makes it sound awful.

Like Australia level wildlife and a shitty climate but with people who don't speak English and aren't especially fond of white people.

    Eh?

It does not having anything near Australia level wildlife (one or two nasty bugs but nothing spectacular). The weather is rough for me, but everything is gorgeous, the clouds, the trees, etc. The fall colors are to die for right now.

And I do not remotely agree with your assessment that they are not especially fond of white people. They are, perhaps, if anything, OVERLY fond, while perhaps being not that well informed.

Woah, let's not go saying things that are insane. Japan might have a couple of extremely hostile species, but it doesn't even begin to compare to Australia.

Japan has no really dangerous animals outside the damn wasp. And those are easily avoidable. The big spiders stay outside or eat cockroaches and mostly ignore you. No real poisonous snakes on the main islands. Okinawa has some but it is pretty far south. Fall and Spring are great. Winters are gorgeous. Summer is just like the South in the US.

There is a demo but it's also on sale in a pay what you want scheme for the time being: https://indiegamestand.com/

/shrug. At the very least its description doesn't seem accurate. It says you can fire on whoever your squadmates see, unless I am remembering it wrong? So I'd leave my sniper in cover somewhere and have my squad go out and find dudes then I'd be all AHAH! and switch to my sniper and he'd be all "nope"

  • InquisitorInquisitor Registered User regular
I think I am going to try braving a different barber today. There is a really important class tomorrow (only teaching two tomorrow, but the second one is observed and apparently matters a huge deal to the teachers being graded. One of my teachers said it was the "most important class of the year") so I figure I should have my hair looking cleaned up. The first (and only) barber I have seen in Japan so far did a whatever job, so maybe these people can do it better.

Depends on the fish. I pretty much just copy exactly what the teachers do. Sometimes this involves removing some bones, sometimes it does not.
