Presidential Election 2012: In the end, this might have all been worth it.
Barack Obama has achieved a second election! A lot of other cool things happened, like democrats held onto the senate, weed became legal in places, alongside marrying people with the same bits as you. Certainly a memorable night in American politics! Here's a breakdown of the battlegrounds:
And with that, the election is over! Thank you all for behaving yourselves and making the past ten threads a delight to read. In case you couldn't infer, this is the last election thread for you all to gloat, chat about what this means, discuss non-presidential election stuff, and so on. But once we hit 100 pages (whenever the mods decide to close it), the party is over. No more political threads until, I dunno, the 2014 midterms? Who the fuck cares!
There is a poll, you may do whatever. Doesn't matter to me: I'm outta here! See you all in 2016.
...unlike some people.

So that gay senator is apparently transphobic. She removed trans protections from the ENDA, under the pretenses that they would prevent it from passing, and it failed anyway.

Prop 30 continue to increase its lead with 50% of precincts reporting.

This is silly. Gay people aren't transphobic. That doesn't even make sense.
In completely unrelated news, I look forward to Dan Savage's column today.

How long were we happy about my brand new openly gay senator? Did we make it at least 10 pages before she became turbo-Hitler?

I really look forward in the next week from hearing from Rush, Koch, Beck, Fox news guy #9, Trump once he calms down a little bit, Bush Jr, Cheney, and Rove.
Oddly i dont feel like I am going out on a limb when I predict that at least one of these guys will end up retiring and never gets heard from again.

1) I missed part of Obama's speech -- did he say anything about Puerto Rico that is bringing on all this 51st state / redesigning the flag talk?
2) I'm biased but the University of Mississippi continues to prove its awfulness as hundreds of privileged frat boys take to the street shouting racial epithets (also go State)
Follow me on Twitter??
i don't think he mentioned puerto rico
that vote is still up in the air rirght? i would love to see it as the 51st state
