I grabbed one despite my up till now firm stance on waiting for the inevitable re-design. Good thing that's what happened with the last two Nintendo handhelds for me too (facepalm). Now to decide whether I want to pay for it or hold it till the holidays...
Anyone else on here buy Zelda II from the VC today? I did and it isn't showing up on my Club Nintendo account like it normally does. Wondering if it is just because it's Thanksgiving or something.
I feel really silly quoting myself, but I also noticed after playing the game that you cannot make a save state and reload to it. You only save if you quit out of it. Also, instead of showing the NES along with the title screen when you have the game selected like the first game does, you only see a screen and that is skill. Is this what the Ambassador version was like? I'm thinking they just put that out instead of making it like the other VC games. Otherwise, if no one else's is like mine, maybe mine downloaded badly.

That is exactly how the Ambassador games work(ed). Try redownloading Zelda II from the eShop and it should fix everything. Hopefully...

Well this is a roller coaster. First I find out there's picross to play on my shiny new 3DS. Then I immediately learn I can't play it.
EDIT: I also see no point to the larger form factor. The screen on the vanilla 3DS is plenty big as-is. At least for me.

I have a friend of mine who carries his Micro everywhere with him. He's also a huge Sony fanboy but admits that the GBA Micro is the best PURE portable system ever made.

I saw the Japanese one first, and when Iwata said muryou haishin, I wondered what that meant and looked up my dictionary to find out it means "free distribution" and thought I was misinterpreting what he said.
Apparently I haven't played this game since coin rush has been available as I don't even have a store button. I hope it shows up soon because I want to try these levels!

It is totally awesome. I'll describe some of what you would be experiencing if you had it.
You start off at the start of 1-1, and immediately use your golden flower. You proceed along, going through familiar ground that happens to have additional coins sprinkled in. Nothing that impressive. Then you go down the pipe as usual, but instead of a small bonus room, you somehow wind up in 1-2. You proceed along, picking up coins that weren't there in the original, until you hit the wall of destructible blocks with the gap under it. You wince, thinking of all the work you'll need to do to get through the level. And then it hits you that this time, you have a golden flower. You proceed to make the majority of 1-2 explode.
It goes from there.

Unchained Blades is due for the 3DS in December, "hopefully," XSEED writes on its Facebook page. After that launch, XSEED might start localizing the sequel, Unchained Blades EXXIV, for western audiences.
"We're still struggling to get the original out on 3DS first," XSEED writes. "After that's finally out the door (hopefully December), then maybe we can start thinking about the sequel."
Unchained Blades hit PSP on June 26, for $30, and it is available now on the Vita via the PlayStation Store.
