Ugh...so much Luigi's Mansion last night. While in bed trying to sleep I was having the Tetris effect going on in my head, but with ghosts instead of blocks.
After the first day of playing Mario 64 in 1997 I closed my eyes and could see Mario running. Good times. The same thing happened when I got Star Fox 64, hahaha.
I used to get sea/carsick from the images of my World of Warcraft characters running in my head. That was the worst. I'd wake up feeling sick too. (If you use arrows to direct them, it's very jumpy, and it is not a pleasant way to watch a game.)
I haven't done anything more than put Luigi's Manion into my 3DS and watching the into stuff since I got it at PAX East on Saturday. I really need to play and resist the siren song of Monster Hunter.
30 game backlog, and almost every single one of them on my 3DS and Vita. It's pretty insane to think I've accumulated that many games in such a short time, and I still haven't started to pick up old (Japanese) DS games.
Can't buy Luigi's Mansion. Monster Hunter won't let me.
I bought it and when I try and put it in, MonHun threatens me with dual Rathians next time I fight a Peco, and I just sob as I put it back in an stutter an apology.
Yesterday, we reported that the latest issue of Famitsu magazine could well be featuring some news on a fresh instalment in the Etrian Odyssey series.
Leaks from Japan suggest that the magazine will be unveiling Etrian Odyssey: Millennium Girl for the Nintendo 3DS. The game is expected to launch in Japan on June 27th, and will retail for 6279 Yen.
Details are thin on the ground at present, but Famitsu is reporting that Millennium Girl will be a remake of the original Etrian Odyssey with an expanded storyline and voice acting. Famed composer Yuzo Koshiro is once again providing the soundtrack.

Ok, so watching Ghosts through windows just do their thing and play around is probably the best thing ever in a video game. 8->
So between Luigi's Mansion, Punch-Out, and the two Mario Soccer titles, Next Level Games are apparently masters of animation.
LM:DM alone has given Luigi more personality and character than every other game that he's been in combined.
Nintendo should just bring 'em onboard full stop like they did with Retro.
Oh my lord, yes. I was disappointed to see there aren't any portrait ghosts, but like Brainiac, after the umpteenth time I saw the regular ghosts do something goofy and new, I didn't care a bit.
And then this:
"Oh, a Boo. Those guys again. Yay."

I just caught a stream of that Pokemon Mystery Dungeon Magnagate game. It looks pretty neat! Here's a link if anyone happens to be interested in watching the early parts of the game for a bit:
EDIT: Also, though this is the first time I'm getting more closely acquainted with a Mystery Dungeon game, I gotta admit that after seeing the gameplay in action it really strikes me how well-suited certain core aspects of Pokemon are to the roguelike genre.
Zephiran on
Alright and in this next scene all the animals have AIDS.

Updated mechanics too? As a newbie fan for 4, this sounds coolish?
I started playing Professor Layton so I could take a break from Luigi's Mansion (don't want to be beating the game in a matter of days), and man this game has a hold on me. Love the art style and the music, so much charm and having lots of small puzzles and riddles spread out amongst the story is nice.
I took my brother to GS to get Luigi's today, but the manager told me they were not allowed to sell the game to non-preorder customers, until all the pre-orders were picked up, or something. Something abot a lock, or being locked down. Dunno.
Anyways, so after we get to Toys R Us, he notes that there is a "buy 1 get 40% off another game" sale going on. So he gets Pokemon Mystery Dungeon too.
I had already ordered Luigi's on Amazon... it gets here the 1st. . And so I walked out of there without buying it, myself.
However, Yoshi's Island DS, Pokemon Black, Super Mario Land 2, and another copy of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon somehow made their way out of my bank account and into a cellaphane bag, receipt and all.

Layton is definitely the game I shall DL for free.

Seriously, and that's just between the Wii U and 3DS. I don't even bother trying to keep up with everything else anymore.

Fire Emblem will be 2 weeks after that.
Hypothetically speaking, this would give me enough time to play through Luigi's Mansion.

Close enough.
IT WAS SO WORTH IT!
I also picked up Luigi's Mansion, and got Mario 3D for free. Urk, so many games to play, and Bioshock Infinite is out today.
Guys, I'm going to need to clone myself, it's the only way I'll be able to get through my backlog...

Why does it get hate? This is the first I've heard of it...
It is mad fun, imo.
It mostly gets hate for the baby switching gimmick.

Yes, please.
Oh.
I actually really like that, lol.
It adds depth to it.
It was pretty good, although a bit too easy.
