I don't think anyone mentioned this but apparently iTunes put up this past weeks episode up a good 6-7 hours before the actual show aired. If its true for all episodes to come be prepared to just youtube the episode when you wake up Saturday.
Heres hoping for another slip up like 'Hearts and Hooves' episode.
It was certainly a nice surprise being up at 12:30 and thinking "I ought to get to bed soon" when the notification email popped in and gave me a reason to stay up just a little later.
checked The Rules to be sure, and yeah, tvtropes is still verboten
I'm assuming that talking about the site primarily associated with them is banned, whereas talking about actual tropes would be okay, mostly because almost everything is a trope. I'm also curious about why it's banned, but that's way beyond the scope of this topic.

I'm not entirely sure on the why, but I gather it has something to people being internet-smug while linking or referring to the tvtropes term as though it's a conversation winning move. I could be pulling that from the ether, but from how it's spelled out in the rules thread, that's my interpretation.

Does someone else here recall the why of this?
I'm too new around here, but I imagine it was seared out of the collective memory by Tube's mighty powers.
People were probably just being annoying as shit with tropes, as they are want to be on the internet. Surprise of surprises, something decent and interesting in moderation can be ruined by putting it *everywhere*.

Nah, Tosh wasn't nearly on the level as Stern. Again, can't post a link to the video since it does contain uncensored r34, but here's a transcript I got from another site, I toned down the picture descriptions as I'm not sure whether or not describing the pictures would cross the line:
[laughter]
Tosh: Alright. Our last subreddit is for men... who enjoy My Little Pony. The brony community [screen behind Tosh shows the front page of /r/clopclop] made up of guys who can't wait to whack it to explicit pics of lesbo ponies.
[cut to image of Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. Lots of blush.]
[laughter, ewws and ohs]
[cut to Tosh, screen behind Tosh shows a completely uncensored r34 pic of Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash]
[laughter continues]
Tosh: I could be into this, but since I'm so high-profile, I have to enjoy my pony porn in disguise.
[cut to another r34 pic with Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, but with a confused cartoon Teddy bear standing in Fluttershy's crotch]
[cut to Tosh with same image on screen behind him]
[laughter]
Tosh: Oh that Malloy, what won't he do for a laugh. Alright guys, friendship is magic. We'll be right back, more stripmall.
[dissolve to a pan shot of the audience and the back of the stage]
[applause]
A very far cry from the Stern segment.
Hell, the segment wasn't really even about bronies, but rather it was about reddit. As I understand it, he basically picked out various subreddits to make fun of and r/clopclop was one of them.
Hmm... Her color scheme, like Sombra's, seems off of the show's usual impeccable standards (seriously, it normally deserves an award from the International Color Paletter's Association or something) Her voice also seems too deep - did someone forget to tell the voice actress the character is female again? We don't need another... incident.

I don't think that character is supposed to be female

Well, her first name is Babs, so...
Could not hear the name, but Applebloom does start the clip with "she's my cousin" so that's that.
Yeah, she's definitely female. She just has a heavy Brooklyn accent. Rather fitting for her character, IMO. Also, what's wrong with her colors? I get the feeling that if Scootaloo were to be introduced right now rather than back in season 1, people would complain about her colors, too.

[wankery ahead]
That's just it, her color scheme isn't really that far off from Scootaloo's (and her primary hair color is basically the same as Apple Bloom's), except it seems like the version a fan making an OC pony would have come up with, instead of the professionals on the show. Her coat is too dark in comparison to the light tones in the hair, and the colors generally don't flow and complement each other the way they usually would. You have to understand, this is a cartoon where normally just looking at the color choices makes me happy. Not even the art; the actual palette. It's especially impressive considering the constraints of the subtly-desaturated-but-not-really-pastel tone they've established. I wasn't kidding when I said the colorists deserve some sort of award. By comparison, here's a vector of the character someone made that I replaced the colors in with ones directly from a screenshot of that clip, followed by a version I played around with for like two minutes to bring closer to what I would expect to see from the show:
There are further refinements that could be made, but I already like the version on the right better. That shouldn't happen. It's a minor thing in the grand scheme, but it's the second time recently they've made questionable choices on a visual aspect that I previously considered unassailable. (Sombra's full color scheme was overcomplicated and should have used a green farther from #00FF00, but that's another post) I don't really want to notice things like this, but anything I mentally start correcting in my head unbidden tends to stick out.
EDIT: In non-color theory wankery, I really enjoyed this episode analysis on The Round Stable, apparently it's going to be a recurring feature for this season.

I guess I'm just an awful person then, because I can just barely see the difference between the two. As for Sombra, I think that it was the whole point of the green in his magic to seem unnatural and off. You can see it when Celestia and Twilight use the magic as well. The magic looks wrong, because it is. As for the whole red on black deal, I always get the feeling that no one would hate those colors and associate them with bad OCs if Shadow the Hedgehog had never existed as an "inspiration" to that archetype of characters. The colors work well conveying darkness and evil, but they've been skewed in popular perception to have negative connotations due to that misuse. They're perfectly fine in a vacuum, IMO. Of course, I could be entirely wrong and there are probably scientific reasons why all those colors suck instead of it being subjective like I think it is.

On that subject, I love Brandon Hardest's parody of those annoying assholes (Tosh included).
It was certainly a nice surprise being up at 12:30 and thinking "I ought to get to bed soon" when the notification email popped in and gave me a reason to stay up just a little later.
And yet people still don't complain over barking, drooling, utterly dehumanised straitjacket pony. Ah well.
hnnnnnnnnngg
My brow is giving this such a furrow.

A pinkie was hiding as his beard, but am pretty sure the rest is pink.
Yeah, this is pretty much what I see when Tosh.0 comes on the tv. I don't understand why he has any presence anywhere, let alone his own tv show.
In the sense that being a dick is kind of their respective job, so them poking fun at you shouldn't be taken to heart.
Well it is their job, but that doesn't mean I can't be baffled that there's a market for their particular brand of goosery.

Can I still hate him for making unfunny rape jokes? That's cool right?

well, no-one mentioned it, so :P
Man, that hits home so hard.

Yeah, that's still a good thing.
Go go action fandom!

If anything, it's probably just to make her more distinctive from Apple Bloom while still showing some family resemblance.
