I haven't played a Metal Gear Solid game other than the PSX game...so there's little reason for me to be interested in Revengeance.
Pretty much. The only downside is you have to wait 30 days after pick-up to get it. It's their way of making sure you won't just return the game and keep the certificate. That and you need to make sure you spend more than the amount of the certificate as you can't buy something that's less than its value.
I am interested in Bioshock Infinite, God of War, Grand Theft Auto V, Injustice, The Last of Us, Metal Gear Rising Revengeance, Tomb Raider and possibly South Park so this could work out very well for me

People went right in and were buying up 100 dollar Amazon gift cards for 50 bucks a pop like it was nothing. Netting upwards of 1600 dollars in Amazon cards for half the price (easy to sell at 90 bucks a card on Craigslist/Ebay, etc).
Best Buy had to step in halfway through the day and issue a complete coupon retraction, which has more than a few people pissed off.
Lesson learned I guess. I keep an eye out for this type of corporate blunder and I'm sort of pissed I missed out. I could have (and would have) paid off the next Xbox/Playstation doing this deal if I had known about it sooner.

Yeah, this actually wasn't the first time I had difficulty with purchasing from them. They had the Borderlands 2 season pass on sale in December and I kept getting a "bank denied payment" error message when trying to buy with Paypal and a generic "payment will not go through" message when buying with my credit card. For some reason that purchase went through when I tried it with my home connection rather than my internet from work.
This time I used the same credit card, but then my credit card company thought it looked suspicious. Oh well, at least I got the game and solved that issue.

Amazon doesn't(or no longer) has a quantity listing left for PS3, but have none in stock for 360. And they don't gold box "fulfilled by amazon" sellers, so it's probably going to be the PS3 version.
Hmm, what's a hotter deal? Far Cry 3 or Hitman Absolution? Keep in mind I enjoyed Alpha Protocol a lot, so buggy stealth games aren't that big of a deal for me.

There is actually one Blockbuster still around, I'm going to have to vulture it in the coming weeks to see what's there, if it's one of the closing stores.
However, I still have some horrible memories of getting Genesis games from Blockbuster sale bins but having to deal with the anti-theft stickers they tack on them, that leaves the giant silver BLOCKBUSTER foil plastered across the back(or, god help me, front) of the cartridge.

Although unless they're doing something strange I don't see how the Origin version wouldn't let you download straight from the devs. I'm assuming you still need to get a code from them to make your account with, and in your account settings you can download it from there.

Weird that they'll still let you buy the individual DLC's even if you've bought the big 'pack' that has them all.
Seems like something that should be fixed.
Anyway, now RDR needs a good long multi-XP week or something so I can finally go and get the multiplayer achievements.
