So is this final battle going to be cool or what? SO seems to have started awesome and lessened each time, and Berk started sucky and gotten more awesome each time.
I'm envisioning a megaman-esque sequence where you have to fight all the previous bosses again before getting to the end guy. Make it happen!

I thought Butler's final battle was really funny, especially the fanfiction near the end.
In the earlier rounds, there were always other battles going on while you were preparing your next entry, so interest in the Forum Battles as a whole was maintained. As the number of people in the contest decreased, Larlar's options were to have longer and longer gaps in between rounds or to decrease the amount of time they had to prepare.
Let's face it, if there was a whole week of nothing before the final most people would be going, "Forum Buuuuuuhhh?"

We started off with more than a week between due dates. That just gave us tons of time to work on stuff. The finals are only 3 days apart.
I noticed that. It makes me sad.
If anything the Thunderdome warriors should have at least a week in order to bring all their powers forth when they meet.
