    Looking at getting a new cd/dvd drive, a new internal hard drive and a new video card

    And maybe some more ram? But I'm pretty sure I have a 32 bit os and that I've already got 4 gigs. Maybe I'll get a 64 bit and get more? It costs almost nothing.

    Dunno if that video card is overkill or not, just marking stuff on new egg that I might be interested in. Maybe a second monitor if I can find one cheap, I don't really need one but I find that I miss having two.

    That 680 is definitely overkill. Hell, even a 670 is kinda overkill on one 1920x1080 monitor. That said I've got a 670 on a 1920x1080 and eat chews prett much everything up at with all the bells and whistles on and I love it

    That 680 is overkill. Do get some more ram though (8-16GB is good), and change your OS to 64-bit.

    You could easily get away with a 660ti

    I'm using a card a generation out of date (Radeon 6950) at 1920 x 1200, and there's really not much out right now that can slow it down.

    Yeah, Canada's big thing is Boxing Day (December 26th) but we get a few carryover Black Friday sales as well since there are a bunch of American chain stores here.
