yeah it is Bloodlines, I was playing it before that patch had installed so maybe that's part of the problem, I'm not sure. I'll give it another go after Far Cry.
Yeah, it's a great game. The missions are really fun, but for me it's the atmosphere that sells the game.
In fact, I just reinstalled it because of this conversation. Damnit. My backlog is too big for this.
Are the rats bad in Bloodlines?

Looks like Vice City is back on steam. One post I read suggests people who bought it before the dispute did not lose any radio songs and new buyers get a different version without certain songs. Not sure if this is accurate though.

My first reaction was "Eh, they'll do in a pinch, but you're much better off finding a guy off the street and using him."
And then I was like "Oh, now I get it."
As for the current thread title: jokes on you, I'm Canadian!
Civics is not a consumer product that you can ignore because you don’t like the options presented.

Yeah, it's a hilarious joke that just keeps on giving. :?
Anyone have any opinions on Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit? Seems like you can't go wrong at $3.74.
It's a game to play in small bursts. If you try to play it all straight it'll tire you, but in bite-sized sessions it's quite great, and has a rather Disgaea-ish sense of humor.
You know how I'm doing my "finish one game in my backlog GameBank, gift a person who owns that game as well a game on their wishlist" thing?
Weeeell, I haven't finished Spec Ops yet (currently on chapter 5) and normally I'd let a RNG pick for me, but this time I specifically picked the person who gets gifted. Enjoy, @Shade !
Everyone who doesn't own these really should, at this point.
You know, speaking about games from the 90s and all. Go go.
It's a great deal. Except if you own any of the games on Steam already the keys don't work.
Edit - Trying to add them says they're already on your account but I guess it did it right, because I have them all. Previously all I had was Altered Beast.
As much as I love steam, this is a great price for these games (of which, amazingly I own none). Any suggestions which one I should dig into first?
Do they activate via UPlay?
You know, I thought they would but I can't figure out any way to do it. Of course I've never used Uplay before, but it seems that there isn't a way to input game keys into it.
To pay it forward, I offer up Left4Dead, Portal 2, Blur, Cthul Saves the World, Breath of Death VII or cubemen to the first to PM me with their choice. I also have 3 or 4 copies of DoTA that I cant seem to give away :P

iRevert, you are a gentleman and a scholar. Thank you, good sir! I've been looking at Tropico and that sweaty dictator on the cover for quite some time, but I'd never taken a bite. I've always heard good things about it, too. Now I get to see how beneficent a leader I'd truly be. (My guess: not very).

I'm... tempted. I was a nintendo kid and never had a sega, though, so, how do these games hold up to one without nostalgia for them, and are they gamepad compatible?
I beat Darksiders last night. Is it possible to 100% that game realistically? Or does it involve grinding out spiders and other weenie enemies that are left over from cleared areas for hours and hours?
So, I'm sure everyone and their brother has a copy of this already, but in the spirit of the season I would like to offer a game about ugly people and applied chiropractics. This is restricted to the Penny Arcade steam group, so if alternative medicine sounds interesting, then please click. I reserve the right to assign the gift to another if it turns out the winner is someone who is just a leecher.
Quoting this from last night so people don't miss it.
So Dead Pixels looks pretty fun, anyone picked it up yet? It's an XBLA title apparently, and going for only $3
I got Dead Pixels in an Indie Royale a while ago. Did not enjoy it at all. 2.5d brawlers aren't my favorite thing in the world because they always feel sort of restrictive, and this one definitely felt pretty restricting, control-wise. The game seemed to think that most of the fun should come from getting new weapons and stuff, AKA it wants to do the whole "get addicted to the game because you keep getting new stuff" thing instead of the whole "this game is fun" thing, because the gameplay itself is super basic (shoot zombies with a gun).

Yeah, I think you pretty much have to kill lots of spiders if you want to max out your weapons. I never bothered.

Weird, so are the games just a downloadable file you install?

Right. I still think bloodlines looks great. Source isn't really that dated yet.

I had a lot of fun with Anno 2070. I'm a sucker for sci-fi, though.
Thank you!

I also have the DLC for Clash of Heroes up for whoever wins that, too.

Hell yea, Steam sales could be one of the cataclysmic events that will occur on 21 Dec.

I am of the same opinion. I've never played Settlers 7 though.
Congrats @zetx ! Enjoy!
