Is there some stigma about premades that I don't know about? Some random guy tonight got all bent out of shape because we were playing as a 4-man group. Before anyone chose any characters (we also start out by asking any of the randoms which role they prefer, and we're pretty polite to everyone too).

Yup that's the one I thought it was. Would play the shit out of that skin. All the time typing "Who the hell do you think I am?!" in all chat and "Don't believe in yourself, Believe in me believing in you" in team chat to bolster morale.
You beat him by dodging Q essentially, and using a champ that can outrange his Flamespitter with harass. Some sort of ranged harass is ideal, but he is still a tough champ if you are fighting a good one. Harassing in between skills is ideal but his flamespitter still has a really short cooldown so you want to be careful of that. Early MR is good (Merc and Negatron) Just don't feed him kills and he becomes a non-issue later on.
Anyone with good sustain should be able to do well also. I haven't fought on in SR in a long time but in TT I typically take Kat or Zed against him and do pretty well. Kat needs to rush either the Negatron or the revolver and needs to constant harass with Q whenever she can. Zed has a much easier time.
Also try not to let him get free harass. I think quite a few champs can trade with him but you need to force the trade in between the Q. If you are going to eat the flamespitter anyways punish him for it but be conscious of his heat level.

I absolutely can see that. It was just a new thing to run into someone so negative because 99% of the time in my 4-mans, the random person is perfectly pleasant. I almost never run into a 4-man premade because I rarely queue alone (I would guess that 90% of my games I'm with at least one friend), so I never see the negative side to it.
