Apparently only 16% of players on consoles reached the cap. I find that dubious at best but apparently that's why it hasn't increased yet.
I don't find that dubious whatsoever. A lot of people play through once and then play through with another character, only pulling out an older one for new DLC (if that).
And it makes sense, since according to Steam, only 14.9% of the people that own BL2 have the level cap cheevo compared to 51.3% having the lv25 one and 38.8% having "Cool Story, Bro".
So the majority of people that are playing (or did play) get through PT1 and stop, if that far.
Having just tried to kill Terramorphous post-Bee-nerf, I can safely say that my desire to play PT2 anything is now gone. As such, I can completely see why everyone stops after PT1.
Has Terra been downgraded to Lv.32 in PT1, or is it still Lv.52?
the loot-splosion is a bigger disappointment than the BL1 vault by far
I wouldn't go that far. After all,...
...it did contain more than just tentacles and disappointment. Not much more. But one is the end to a 8-10 hour DLC and one is the end to 25ish hour Borderlands main game.
You do think they would have learned to do better, though.
The lootsplosion is worthless there are whites and greens and cash that is not loot. Its all cash.
Especially on 2.5 where it takes like an hour to kill badassasarus

it doesn't take an hour to kill badassasaurus, cmon. 59 minutes, maybe, tops.

but but vending machines with guaranteed oranges
and filled otherwise with dreamy torgue weaponry!
Aren't those capped at 48? meaning they're worthless?
Not completely worthless. I wanted a Plump KerBlaster and opted to grind the bar brawl for a level 48 rather than Midge-Mong. Longish run to boss + crappy drop rate + desire for specific prefix = no fun. I'll suffer with the vending machine on that one.
Edit: +1 for the lootsplosion being awful, especially after dealing with rex.
Speaking of the Pimpernel, best sniper rifle in the game now? The Bee still works to hilarious results with it. Even using a fire pimpernel I was seeing huge numbers against Loaders resisting the damage.

Yeah. Nerf that.

I'm still using my Bee to farm the final boss. After roughly 3 hours of farming it, I am no closer to having a Conference Call, and my inventory is completely filled with decent weapons/relics/shields. I wish inventory space was a lot higher.
Even with a wonderful adaptive rare shield - 50% resist, 43k shield, and 18k health, I cannot get Terra down past 1/4 health without biting it.
What ho, chums!
Yes, yes. Sir Hammerlock here. My tweets may not be as "explosive" as our old friend Torgue's, but I've news to share nonetheless!
And by the by, worry not about Torgue -- I've simply appropriated his ECHO account. He's perfectly safe.
...That is, presuming he doesn't try to benchpress *himself* again. Horrible incident. Sweat and creatine everywhere.

No clue. I killed him enough times pre-Bee-nerf that I suppose I don't need to, but it'd be nice to get a bloody orange gun off him.
Seriously, the design of "arena with no cover or adds and a boss that can one-shot you" just blows. Completely counter to the rest of the game.
Anyway -- to information. I've an expedition to embark upon, and I'd very much enjoy it if you ladies and gentleman joined me on it.
The expedition -- as many of you have likely gleaned from the rather frustratingly effective investigators amongst you -- is called: Sir Hammerlock's Big Game Hunt!
...He shouted at the masses, surprising precisely *no one,* as they'd already heard the title on Joystiq or something like that. Ah, well.
Additionall, here's a rather well-framed picture of me sitting next to the most powerful weapons of all: books.
And a Jakobs sniper rifle. Those are also fairly powerful. Come to think of it, books can't remove a man's head at 60 paces. I take it back.

Its not super great but it has max cooldown so I'm rocking a 70% reduction for my turret.

So, been rolling with the sniper Zero as I've always been a sniper kind of FPSer. Something about sniping in this game just isn't quite clicking with me though. I'm thinking about switching it up to a shotgun assassin, or maybe just playing Axton. I think I should do both.

If cover was a thing level designers thought was important Pete would be fun to solo.

Killing Hyperius and Master Gee with books, it's so crazy it could work!
